Product Review: Woolite Pet and Oxygen

Children and Pets, Good Housekeeping, Odor Remover, Urine Odor, Woolite

Woolite Pet and Oxygen Stain and Odor Remover is a winner for getting rid of stains and odors caused by pet accidents. I have 2 large dogs, a St. Bernard and a Newfoundland who thankfully now that they are older, don’t have many accidents on the floor, but on the rare occasion that one of them does, my trusted Woolite Pet and Oxygen Stain and Odor Remover comes to the rescue.

One morning, as I was getting ready for work, I stepped in something wet on the carpeting in my bedroom. I was alarmed because I thought maybe the roof was leaking and dripping water on the carpet because it was raining pretty hard that morning. Upon further investigation, I found this not to be the case. The culprit was my sweet Newfoundland Meadow. Even though I was not happy about the accident, I felt sorry for her because I think she was still under the weather, as she was just recently spayed at the animal hospital. Luckily, about a month earlier I picked up a bottle of Woolite Pet Stain and Odor Remover at the grocery store just in case, to have it on hand. Now, I usually have these types of products at home, but for some reason I hadn’t purchased them for a while and ran out.

I was already in a hurry because I didn’t want to be late for work. I was hoping it would work fast to get rid of the stain on my light colored carpeting. In addition to the urine stain it left, the smell was not that great either. I sprayed the area per the directions and let is stand for five minutes. I then gently blotted the area with a clean damp cloth. I did repeat the procedure again because I could still vaguely see the stain. After the second application of the Woolite Pet and Oxygen Stain and Odor Remover the stain and odor were completely gone. I was so relieved that it didn’t leave a permanent stain on my carpet. However, the true test would be when the area dried. Sometimes when these things happen, everything looks and smells fine until the area dries. Then after a while the stain and odor begin to re emerge. When I got home from work the area was almost, but not quite dry, but so far, so good. The next morning the carpet was completely dry. The stain was 100% gone, as was the telltale urine odor.
