You’ve probably never heard of the Superstar flat iron. I hadn’t heard of it until I asked my hair stylist what kind of flat iron she was using on my hair. The Superstar brand is definitely not popular like the CHI flat irons, but it is of similar quality and price to the CHI, ranging around $100.
So why did I invest in an expensive flat iron, and why the Superstar? I’ll tell you. I had been using a $30 flat iron that was making my hair a bit frizzy and still a bit poofier than I wanted. Thinking back to that, I know now that using a better product to protect from the flat iron would probably have made the $30 flat iron give better results. But since I didn’t realize that at the time, I don’t know if that would have helped or not. I just know that my hair when flattened at home never resembled the way it looked when leaving my stylists’ salon – and now it does, or at least I think it does, which was why I decided to invest in a quality flat iron.
I chose the Superstar Silver Nano flat iron since that was the flat iron that I’d had recurring positive experiences with from my stylists’ salon. My stylist used the regular black ceramic Superstar (not this one with Silver Nano Technology) at the time, and she recommended it highly. I thought about purchasing a CHI instead, but since I knew the results from the Superstar Silver Nano flat iron would be great for sure, I chose the Superstar.
I’ve had my Superstar Silver Nano flat iron for over a month now, and I had to use it four or five different times before I achieved the exact results that I wanted so badly. When my Superstar Silver Nano first came in the mail, my hair was due for a trim. Before getting it trimmed, though, I went ahead and used my new Silverstar Silver Nano flat iron, but my hair still didn’t look completely healthy; also I was not using a good product, so there were two reasons why it didn’t turn out perfect right away. Those two reasons combined with me not quite knowing how to use the Superstar Silver Nano flat iron gave me doubts about spending $100 on the Superstar Silver Nano.
Then my hair stylist trimmed my hair and showed me precisely how to use the Superstar Silver Nano flat iron (yeah – I have the best hair stylist ever). I also bought a good straightening product that I put in my wet, clean hair always now before flat ironing.
I’ve figured out what works for me. I need my hair completely dry to get the best results from my Superstar Silver Nano. My hair can’t be even slightly damp or my hair still turns out poofy. Instead of blow drying (I don’t have the best hair dryer nor do I enjoy blow drying my hair), I wait until my hair has dried on its own before flat ironing it. Once my hair is completely dry, I pin the middle and top portions of my hair to the top of my head and flat iron all of the underside. Then I let my hair down, pin up the top portion, and flat iron the middle section. Of course, I follow that by flat ironing the top portion. And it looks fabulous! I am so happy with the healthy way my hair looks after using the Superstar Silver Nano flat iron.
After flat ironing my hair with the Superstar Silver Nano flat iron, my hair doesn’t just look healthy – even the texture of my hair is silky and smooth. I can run my fingers through my hair and forget that my hair is naturally course and wavy.
I invested one hundred hard-earned article-writing dollars to buy myself the Superstar Silver Nano Flat Iron, and now that I’ve gotten familiar with using it, I am very pleased that I did.
