The batteries were easy to install.There was no tools needed,you just had to slide the cover off and place the batteries inside.Next you had to plug the sensor unit into a usb slot on the back of your computer.Then start your computer and see if it finds the new pieces.Sure enough upon starting the system it had found the Micro Innovations Wireless Internet Keyboard and Optical Mouse. If by chance the computer had not found them there were instructions to load the drivers from the included CD.
