Product Review: Method Tub and Tile

Non Toxic, Soap Scum

Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover removes soap scum from my bathtub, quickly and effectively without leaving behind any harsh chemicals or overpowering smells. The refreshing eucalyptus mint scent fills my bathroom with a spa like fragrance that’s never too strong. I don’t feel like I have to use Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover with all my windows open or only in a well ventilated area. I am very concerned about exposing my family and pets to harsh toxic chemicals. With Method tub and tile, I don’t have to worry. According to the product description, Method products removes soap scum and hard water stains without leaving a chemical residue behind. Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover is made from naturally derived, biodegradable ingredients; safe and effective on any surface. I like the fact that Method products are not tested on animals.

I spotted the eye pleasing light blue bottle on the shelf at the grocery store. For about $4.99 you get a 28 fluid ounce bottle. The price was reasonable and after all, I liked the fact that it’s non toxic so I thought I would give it a try. When I got home I immediately tried the Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover on my bathtub. There was indeed some residual soap scum from a freshly used bar of soap on the ledge. After give the soap scum spot 2 quick sprays of Method, I could literally see it dissolving right before my eyes. Plus, the minty eucalyptus scent was a nice change from the harsh chemical smell that I was so used to when cleaning the bathroom.

The Method tub and tile worked quickly and efficiently to clean the hair conditioner oil slick on the bottom of the tub that on more that one occasion, caused me to almost break my neck. A few sprays to the tub, and the conditioner
wiped right up in no time with no residue. No rinsing is necessary, but I always like to give the tub a good rinse with fresh water after using any cleaning product on it.

According to the label on the back of the bottle, Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover is naturally derived, non-toxic and biodegradable. The ingredients include a substance to dissolve soap scum, (the actual name of the substance was not disclosed), non ionic surfactant, naturally derived solvents and essential oil fragrance.

I have been using Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover ever since I discovered it in the grocery store. I would like to replace all my household cleaners with non toxic biodegradable products, so finding Method is helping me build up my supply. I am very pleased with it’s effectiveness. When a product claims that it’s mild and non toxic, I sometimes tend to think it might not be powerful enough to tackle heavy duty cleaning jobs, but Method is just as powerful, if not more so, for even the toughest cleaning jobs.

I highly recommend Method tub and tile soap scum and stain remover to anyone who wants to replace harsh chemical cleaners with a non toxic, biodegradable cleaner that does a superior job of cleaning bathroom surfaces.
