I had reservations about ordering DKNY Be Delicious because I wasn’t sure that I wanted to spend the $55.00 for the smaller 1.7 ounce perfume spray. Actually, it was the eau de parfume spray, to be exact. I do lots of perfume and cosmetics buying online because it’s convenient, and because I love the free samples that most of the online cosmetic and perfumes give out!
I was excited to get my DKNY Be Delicious because of how good the sample smelled. When I finally received it, the first thing that I noticed after the adorable green apple shaped bottle was the intense scent of fresh green apples. When I smelled the sample, the green apple scent was not as apparent to me. I loved the combination scents of green apples, cucumber and flowers. DKNY Be Delicious is very fresh, fruity and floral. I also noticed lily of the valley.
While during some research on DKNY Be Delicious on Sephora.com, I found that this perfume was a combination of American apple, cucumber, grapefruit, candid magnolia, tuberose, white muguet, rose, violet, sandalwood, tender skin accord, blonde woods, and white amber. After I found out that DKNY contained sandalwood I started to really notice it when I sprayed it on. Although, I find this perfume to be very fruity, I don’t think it’s too sweet. To me, it’s a very refreshing perfume, and it’s never too strong or overbearing.
I wore my DKNY Be Delicious to my mother’s house one day when my cousins from France were visiting, as they frequently do, because they have a business here. One of my cousins told me that the DKNY Be Delicious perfume smelled like a French perfume. She told me that she loved it and wanted to buy a bottle before she went back to Paris! I couldn’t let her go back without giving her my bottle of the perfume. I could always get another one. She was so excited that I had given her my DKNY Be Delicious, and so was I because she was so happy with it!
Next time I’m browsing Sephora.com, I’ll order another bottle of the DKNY Be Delicious. I really love this perfume and I’d like to keep it on hand. Besides, I look forward to the free samples. I must say that free samples are a great marketing took, because on many occasions, I have purchased the full sized product based on my positive opinion of the free sample. Perfume samples are the best because they give me a 100% accurate idea of the what fragrance smells like. Real perfumes samples do the fragrances more justice than the pullout samples that I find in magazines.
I find DKNY Be Delicious to be very long lasting and on the bold side, but still very subtle and clean smelling. I love the combination of fruit, flowers, woodsy and musky scents that it contains. Like I stated before, the limited edition green egg like container is beautiful and I feel it makes for a great collectors item. I can’t wait to reorder it!
