In today’s world everything is centered around technology. Digital this and digital that. One of the most popular digital products on the market would have to be the digital cameras. With digital cameras you can take tons and tons of pictures without wasting your time with multiple rolls of film. You can take pictures and then delete the ones that are less than acceptable. With the numerous sizes of memories cards for digital camers you can take hundred upon hundres of photos before needing more space. So what do you do with all these digital photos if you want an actual paper picture to show for them? This is where the photo printing websites come in handy. Here are the photo printing websites that I have personally purchased prints from on a regular basis.
The first photo printing website that I ever used was Snapfish.com. I started using this site before I even had a digital camera. Snapfis started out developing actual rolls of film and then putting your photos online for you to see and share with friends and family. Plus sending you actual paper copies of your photos. Later on they started focusing more on uploads of photos from all the digital cameras going around the world. Now Snapfish is more like all the other photo printing websites out there with only the one difference of still developing actual rolls of film.
When you sign up with Snapfish you will automatically be entitled to 10 free photo prints. Shipping charges still apply. After you order your free prints, your photo price is 12¢ per 4×6 photo print. Snapfish also has a prepayment plan where you can prepay for a certain amount of prints and you will get them cheaper than the standard 12¢ per photo…. around 10¢ per print. I’ve never tried the prepayment plan because I just never really know when I’m going to buy prints.
Shutterfly.com is another great photo printing website on the internet. It works like all the others in that you just need to upload you own photos to the Shutterfly website and then order the prints you want. When you sign up with Shutterfly you are entitled to 15 free photo prints. After you have used those 15 free prints then the price goes to 19¢ per 4×6 print. Just like with Snapfish, Shutterfly has a print prepayment plan where you can prepay for a certain amount of prints upfront. These cost about 12¢ per print. Shutterfly has a great sharing program also. It is very simple to send a link to your photos to any of your friends and family. They will be able to view your photos individually or as a slideshow.
Next there is KodakGallery.com. Just like with the rest of the sites, you simply upload your photos to KodakGallery.com and then order the prints you would like to have. With KodakGallery the price is 15¢ per 4×6 photos and you receive 10 free photo prints at signup.
Lastly, my most favorite of all, is ImageStation.com. So far from all my dealings with these companies over the years, ImageStation is by far my most favorite photo printing website. Just like with the other sites, you just upload you photos and choose the ones that you want prints of. The main difference with ImageStation that the others don’t have, is that ImageStation has fantastic sales. One week you might get cheaper prints and a few weeks down the road you may get 99¢ shipping. They seem to always have a sale going on during the year. So if you have a lot of prints to order it might be best to wait until one of their sales begin. With ImageStation you receive 20 free prints at signup, making that the most free prints I’ve seen available anywhere so far. After you use your free prints the price for 4×6 photo prints is only 12¢ per print.
One thing to remember when you sign up for these sites is that your free prints are not there forever. Many sites will limit them to only being available for 30 days after you open your account. So use those free prints as quickly as possible so as not to lose them.
Obviously there are many more of these sites on the world wide web. These are just the ones that I have personal experience with. All four of the sites talked about here in this article have very nice quality prints and their shipping times are very adequate. I usually receive my orders within 5-7 days on the standard shipping. Also keep in mind that all these sites have gifts that you can purchase with your photos on them. We purchased a gorgeous coffee mug for my father-in-law last Christmas with a photo of all three of my daughters on it. These sites have things like mousepads, mugs, photo albums, t-shirts, Christmas cards and many many more items.
Check them all out. You may just find a photo printing website that you can’t live without.
