Oxygen’s Tanisha Thomas, Talks Clive, Love Games, & More

Bad Girls Club, Celebrity Fit Club

If you are a Bad Girls Club fan, then you know Tanisha Thomas. The former bad girl has appeared on shows like, “Celebrity Fit Club”, “Love Games”, and “Tanisha Gets Married”. Tanisha sat down with Tocsin to discuss season 4 of “Love Games” and much more.

Tocsin: Hello Tanisha, how are you?

Tanisha: I’m good, how are you?

Tocsin: I’m great! Most of us are familiar with you from your days as a bad girl. What were you doing prior to joining the cast of Oxygen’s “Bad Girls Club”?

Tanisha: I was working at Applebee’s as a waitress, but my attitude was so terrible they refused to put me on the regular floor. I was taking to go orders from the back of the restaurant.

Tocsin: Were you always interested in becoming a reality star?

Tanisha: No, I always knew I was an extraordinary child. I was voted class president and all kinds of stuff. I majored in theater, that was my passion. So, when I auditioned for the show, I had no idea it would take off the way that it did.

Tocsin: Which season did you appear on the “Bad Girls Club”

Tanisha: It was the second season.

Tocsin: Why do you think you’ve been able to be so successful as a Bad Girl and others haven’t?

Tanisha: I don’t know, I’ve been having this conversation all day. I’m very spiritual, so what God says is for you, is for you. No one can take that away and no one can change that. I will say this, I don’t know what they don’t have, but I try to live my life right. I am the same person on camera as I am off. However, the other side of me is a very giving person and a very caring person.

Tocsin: What is one misconception some people have about you?

Tanisha: That I’m a ….. They think I’m mean, flipping over tables and stuff. I’m like, oh my gosh, you can not believe that I would come in here, not knowing you and start flipping out. And that I’m all hood. I hear it all the time, “You speak so well”. I’m like really?! All because I was on the “Bad Girls Club”, but to me a bad girl lives by her own standards. She does whatever she wants to do.

Tocsin: Is it annoying when people bring up something crazy or outrageous that you did on television?

Tanisha: The fans definitely don’t let me live anything down. I wouldn’t say it is annoying, but there is just a time and a place. A lot of them don’t know I’m a germaphobe, so when they go in for a hug, I kind of go Howie Mandel inside and go crazy. But, I love and appreciate them.

Tocsin: Let’s just run through a few of your credits. You did Celebrity Fit Club. Was that your first show after Bad Girls Club?

Tanisha: Yes, it was. Then, I did “Love Games” and that is what made them ask me to host “Love Games” seasons 2,3 and now 4 and “Tanisha Gets Married, as well.

Tocsin: Tell us a little about “Love Games” and what you bring to the show.

Tanisha: “Love Games” is a spin-off of the “Bad Girls Club. It takes 3 of the most popular bad girls from the last season and they put them in a house together to find love. What I love about this season is, the guys and the girls are very invested, the challenges are amazing, and what I bring to the show is the truth. Not only the truth, I get emotional and I pop off this season. So, this season is the craziest one yet. When I say it is more twist and turns, than a bad weave, I mean it.

Tocsin: Okay, so who made it on this season of “Love Games” from the last episode of “Bad Girls Club”?

This season, they definitely brought back the Vegas girls. Danielle, Amy, and Camilla.

Tocsin: What about this group of girls, do you like the most?

Tanisha: The girls are willing to play. I know Camilla goes after what she wants. Amy kind of sits on the side lines in the beginning, but then she picks up and kind of fights when she realizes this is a competition. In the end only one girl and one guy will be left standing.

Tocsin:Did you find yourself cheering for anyone?

Tanisha: No, I try to be fair. I’m really neutral. I get excited when the girls get excited, I get excited when the guys get excited. Relationships suck, no one wants to try, no one wants to give it a shot. So, when I see people going for it, I get excited.

Now, you just had your own relationship go to the highest level with your marriage to Clive. How is that going so far?

Tanisha: Well, Clive and I are no longer together. We have separated, but we are still legally married. We’ve been apart for some time.

Tocsin: They say reality TV is a curse on relationships, would you agree?

Tanisha: I have to kind of agree. Like, if you have problems before, you shouldn’t do it. You have to be strong going into it. I mean there were other things, don’t get me wrong. We are in a good space, I love Clive. But, right now the space that I’m in, in my life, he hasn’t made it here with me at this time. Sometimes, people are better apart.

Tocsin: Do you think you out grew Clive?

Tanisha: No, not at all. I think what really got between us was the tension. Not only did we put ourselves on TV, we put our relationship on TV for the world to judge. So, it was kind of a backlash.

Tocsin: Many people thought reality wouldn’t last, where do you think reality TV will go from here?

Tanisha: Reality TV isn’t going anywhere. It has evolved and people want to see real people putting themselves out there.
