My hair had been through a great deal of stress for some time, it had been tugged, pulled and neglected during styling. I had split ends, dry ends, dry scalp, and dry hair. One day I decided to try a product by Africa’s Best called Organics Olive Oil. The product came in a green and white circular bottle. Its purpose was to “moisturize, rejuvenate, and restore” hair, and to serve as therapy for dry hair and scalp. The product read, “Excellent for thinning hair, bald scalps, and all hair styles including natural, relaxed, pressed, curls, texturized or color- treated hair.
Once I opened the product I found that it had an unbelievable sweet smell; reminiscent to watermelon, its texture was thick and creamy and its color was of a light mint.
After using this product for a month or so I noticed significant growth and fullness to my hair! My hair grew a few inches and became much thicker, I was so delighted! I also suffered from dry scalp and this product seemed to cure my dry scalp. Organics Olive Oil rejuvenated, restored my hair, and treated my dry scalp!
With all the great capabilities of the hair product, their came a negative one, the product failed to give my hair the look of being moisturized. The roots of my hair were very oily, but the ends and edges of my hair were very frizzy and dry. I had to apply a great amount of this hair product, mixed with a teaspoon of water to give my hair a moisturized look, and this only worked for about 7 hours or so. This was a great disappointment.
The ingredients are very friendly and ideal for ethnic hair however the effectiveness of the product will depend on the hair texture of the person. I would recommend this product for those who want to rejuvenate and restore their hair and want to see it become a little bit longer and thicker however, I would not recommend this product for people with thick hair, or thick curly hair who just want to achieve the moisturized look because, this product will most likely not make thick hair, or thick curly hair seem moisturized (when it actually is) but it will help restore it, and it will promote growth.
This product is ideal for those with soft, straight textured hair, or pressed and relaxed hair! Although this product does not make my hair seem moisturized I still buy it. I love it because it helps my hair grow and it helps it to become thick!
