Join the website for free and list nine or more books that you have for trade. The books should be in good condition without missing, torn or stained pages. To have the most success list as many books as possible. Upon listing at least nine you will be given three “credits”. The credits can be used to order books from other people. Simply browse through the books at their site and choose the three you want.
You don’t have to order all three books at once. Maybe you love to read but don’t have a lot of time to donate to the pastime. Order one book and wait until you’re almost finished reading it before making your next selection. Upon selecting a book from another member it’s shipped straight to your front door.
Although there is no fee to participate at the website the person whose book has been ordered is the one responsible for mailing the book. So, when someone chooses one of your nine books that you’ve listed you must send the book to them at your own expense. This expense is minimal if you ask for “media mail” rates at the post office.
After listing nine books for trade you are issued three credits, then you’ll be given an additional credit for each book that you mail to someone else. The person must receive the book for the credits to arrive in your account. And, when you request a book, that member is responsible for the postage, meaning you break even.
You don’t really have to go to the post office if you don’t want to bother. Simply print a piece of paper from your home printer that states the person’s name and address, along with the amount of postage actually due. Put the book in your outbox for the mailman to pick up and you’ve done your duty.
