NoodleNet Software Provides Child-Safe Internet Access

Age Appropriate

NoodleNet LP, based in Plano, Texas, has announced the launch of a new fun and engaging child safe on-line environment for children ages 3-11. This new program provides a gated community, featuring child safe sites, with easy to use controls for parents that provides preloaded age appropriate instant access to hundreds of prescreened games, books, videos and other on-line activities. The software can be purchased and downloaded from their site.

More that 77 million children are currently on-line. Informed parents realize that unsupervised use of the Internet for young children can lead to exposure to images and information that simply are not appropriate for children. NoodleNet provides child safe sites and blocks sites that may be inappropriate for young users.

“The relevancy today of both parental involvement and the need for a safe on-line environment has never been more evident,” said Michael Callahan, president of NoodleNet. “All of us here at NoodleNet are focused on leveraging our expertise and technology to create a truly unique consumer offering modeled around the family — one that will make meaningful impact in the lives of children. We are delivering an experience that truly enables the whole family or the individual child to explore the Internet without the parent or guardian ever having to worry or fear what their child may encounter. This is our assurance that children will not intentionally or unintentionally view inappropriate material on-line or access your desktop files.”

Not only does NoodleNet provide access to child safe sites that have been reviewed by a team of teachers, parents, and child development specialists; it effectively locks down access to the computer desktop to prevent or limit access to personal information and computer settings that could be accidentally accessed or altered by young users. It also provides several child safe search engines.

The program is pre-configured with user accounts that provide access to child safe, age appropriate sites. Each site has been human searched. If parents wish to customize the program to meet the need of individual users, that is available too.

The program is fully accessible to parents and caregivers, and allows them to customize the program for individual users. The caregiver can easily grant access to any part of the Internet, access favorite programs and games on the desk top, and select search engines for homework help while denying access to personal files and folders on the desktop.

NoodleNet provides a child friendly screen with easy to use buttons for accessing information, games, videos, and other interactive sites. It features brightly colored backgrounds with four main sections: Games, Books, Videos, and Links. Each is preloaded with age appropriate learning activities. It also features a Favorites section for children to save their own child safe favorite sites.

NoodleNet is available on a monthly and annual subscription basis and comes with 12 months of technician support and updates. A free 7 day trial of the program is also available at their site.
