New Frye Sandals for Women Spring 2011

Buckle, Frye, Women's Sandals

Recently a new lineup of new Frye Sandals were added to the (already gorgeous) Frye collection for women. With this year’s spring styles comes some new looks – some of which fall in line with trendy fashion, while others appear to be breaking their own trail in terms of style.

Here are some new looks for women from Frye footwear:

Frye Julie Fisherman – This sandal is reminiscent of the original style “Fisherman” but has a bit of a softer look. It is constructed of leather straps for the upper – and even right out of the gate it appears to be quite a popular style. Retail price for the Frye Julie Fisherman sandal is around $145 or $150 and at this point (March of 2011) is available in Tan Leather only.

Frye Savannah Buckle Slide – In the not-too-distant past, the Frye “Savannah Buckle 2-Piece” became quite a popular item, and now following that style comes the Savannah Buckle Slide. It has the same basic style as its predecessor, but without the ankle strap. Very cute, and available in a rather wide range of colors, all of which have a rich and earthy appearance. Retail price for the Savannah Buckle slide is around $125 to $130.

Frye Tamara Buckle – This sandal is a platform design with a higher heel that many other shoes from Frye – 5 inches. It has a horizontal triple strap design, topped off with a “T” strap with a buckle closure around the ankle. The colors found for this shoe include lighter and darker shades of brown as well as a “Sapphire” blue. Retail price for this style is around $195 to $200.

Frye Laurel Ring – This sandal is my personal favorite of the bunch. While it has a delicate look with thin styled strapping, it also has a detailing of rings up the vamp. Basically it is a flat thong style, with a buckled ankle strap. Retail price for the Laurel Ring sandal is around $145 to $150.

Frye Carlie Huarache Platform – This new sandal from Frye has a platform style, with a huarache (woven) design on the vamp. There are a few extra touches given to it, such as some of the straps having different detailing than others. While (of course) the heel is higher than the front part of the shoe, it isn’t by much. It has more of a comfortable look (and probably feel) than some other styles. Retail price for the Carlie Huarache is around $195 to $200.

Frye Corrina Woven – Probably the most interesting sandal among the new Frye collection for fall is this one. It has a woven ankle strap, and a quilted design along the entire heel and platform, creating a look I have not yet come across. While the heel is around 4 ½ inches, it does not appear to be uncomfortable having also a platform of 1 inch – and Frye is amazing in terms of its ability to provide comfortable high heeled footwear for women. Retail price for the Corrina Woven Ankle Strap is around $245 to $250.

The above list appears to comprise at least the majority of new Frye Sandals for women coming into the spring season of 2011. They are a beautiful lot – worthy of taking a look at. Any of the styles would add personality to any lady’s wardrobe for this year, as well as for years to come.
