Chances are that if you’ve been involved in internet marketing for 2 seconds you’ve seen the praises about the wonder of article marketing. It sounds like a dream, especially for those who are too cheap or too broke to pay for advertising. Just write and distribute articles with a resource link leading back to your site and those articles will work for you for years to come, adding more back links in the search engines and more visitors to your site – all for free!
But then you hit a couple of snags. First, it takes a while for article marketing to work and you can’t just write one or two… or ten. You have to write multiple articles with each individual one sending a small, steady stream of visitors to your site. Second, the amount of time it takes for you to write one article can be a long process. I mentioned the guidelines above and they’re great to have, but they also highly recommend that you provide source material for your articles (about 1,000 words worth for a 500 word article). So if you’re one who doesn’t like the research stage and was hoping to avoid that completely, well you’re out of luck unless you don’t want your articles snatched up quickly.
