Albuquerque, Cockfighting, Movie Theaters

Albuquerque, New Mexico has several great movie theaters to choose from. I will list the top 5 of those movie theaters. So, sit back and read on to discover where to go when you want to go to the movie theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The first movie theater up is Century Rio 24. It is my highest recommendation for movie theaters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I rated this the highest for the availability of more movies and show times at this theater. The Century Rio 24 theater is located at:

4901 Pan American Fwy. NE

Albuquerque, NM 87109

It has a lovely little cafe inside where you can buy everything from popcorn to pizza. They also offer ice cream and the best hot dogs anywhere in the city. If you are familiar with Nathan’s hot dogs then you are aware how good they are. These are the hot dogs offered at The Century Rio 24 movie theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They offer stadium seating and handicap seating. It is by far the best movie theater in Albuquerque. Prices are $10. for adults after 6 p.m., and children are $6.50 after 6 p.m. as well. Senior citizens are $6.50. Military and student discounts are also available at $8.50 after 6 p.m. Matinee prices are $7. before 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call for show times at 505-342-2424.

The next movie theater on my list for the top five best movie theaters in Albuquerque, New Mexico is High Ridge 8 Theater. I have this as number two for the rare movies that the status quo of Albuquerque, New Mexico will often not wish to see. But, for those of you that love the more exclusive historical movies and dramas; this is the theater for you to attend. Here is the location for you:

This theater has smaller seating and is not as nice as the first on this list; but it does have those rare independent films that the larger theater will not offer. There is a concessions stand and the theater is handicap accessible. Prices are $9.50 after 6 p.m. Children and senior citizens are $8.50. Matinee prices are $6.50 before 6 p.m. One really neat feature of this theater if you are on a date, is the Family Fun Center that is located adjacent to the movie theater. Check back later for more on that. Call 505-275-0038 for details and show times.

Third on this list is The Guild Cinema. It has even more rare movies for those who love the independent film maker. In fact, a local has released her film here and it was really fun to watch it all take place. So, if you are in the artsy mode and want to seek out the path less traveled in film; then you cannot miss checking out the Guild Cinema. Prices are $8.00 at all times. Show times vary greatly and often are only at night and on certain days of the week. It is located at:
