Dear Mom,
When I stop and think about what you mean to me
I see a friend not an authority.
You gave me life and helped me grow
and taught me everything there was to know.
A helpful hand and a warm touch-
I always knew you loved me so much.
You showed me how to be smart and strong

Now that I’m gone and we’re far away
