Morehead Apartment Review Greensboro, NC

Greensboro Nc

When my husband and I were searching for an affordable house rental for our family of four in Greensboro, NC we quickly realized that our options were limited. We needed a temporary arrangement while we repair our credit, but we also wanted our children to be in a decent location in Greensboro. The houses that we found were either far too expensive or in a bad location. As our options faded, we looked towards apartment communities.

With a need of three bedrooms, our search was quickly narrowed down. Still finances played a huge factor in our search. Who really wants to pay $1200-1500 a month for an apartment? Definitely not us. As our search was narrowed down, we found the Morehead Apartments. When we first looked at the apartments, the manager and assistant manager very very nice and helpful. We toured the apartments and found that they were worth every penny of the $650 monthly rent. The units were clean and the complex seemed like a family-friendly place to raise our young boys.

During the first few months at the Morehead Apartments, we had some problems within our unit that were taken care of rather quickly. The noise level in our unit is awful. At all hours of the day we can hear the family above us walking, running, vacuuming and going about their daily life. I expected this to a point in an apartment home, but it is beyond what I imagined or expected. Since we have moved in, we have gotten some interesting neighbors. The idea of a family-friendly place to raise our boys has somewhat dissapeared. I do not want my children hearing cuss words constantly and being exposed to drunken young people every Friday and Saturday night. We wake up on the weekends to leave for some family time and see the remnants of the previous nights party outside. The Morehead Apartments do have a security team and we have called numerous times. Supposedly, its three times and you are out.

The pool is nice and is rarely occupied. We visit the pool several times a week and often have the entire space to ourselves. If there are other swimmers in the pool, there are very few and it has always been a pleasant experience. There is a playground on the grounds for the residents. Our boys enjoy their time there and although it is in need of some minor repair, it is a decent play area.

Maintenance requests are handled promptly and courteously. Our dishwasher went out on us and the maintenance team was down here to install a new one in our unit the same week.

In conclusion, I think the Morehead Apartments are worth the money they request. However, some updating needs to be done both inside and outside of the units and there needs to be stricter rules and regulations to ensure the safety and happiness of all residents.
