Moose Jaw Brew Pub is located at 110 Wisconsin Dells Parkway South in Wisconsin Dells. They are well known for their awesome food and their great micro brewed beers on tap. And they are also the only brew pub in Wisconsin Dells.
They have 3 different levels in this great restaurant and microbrewery. The bottom floor has a pool hall, arcade, meeting rooms and a bar. The main floor has the main dining area and bar. And the upper level is the brewery, a small dining area and the brewery bar. As you sit and the bar and enjoy a drink, you get a view of the brewing area. They have a 15 barrel “copper-clad” brewhouse. The brewing area has the capacity to brew 500-1000 gallons of beer a day! That is a lot of beer. The Brew master Dana Wolle can be seen there often, working hard on brewing beers. He has also been working their seasonal beers, since those require a little bit more time and effort to make.
The menu at Moose Jaw is amazing. They have so much to offer. They have appetizers like Artichoke Spinach Dip, Beer Bread, Moose Wings, and Bruschetta. They have sandwiches from Reubens to Cajun Chicken to Burgers. Their entree menu includes items like Walleye, Porterhouse Steaks, Surf and Turf, and Ribs. Their pizzas and calzones are awesome. If you want something lighter you can’t go wrong with their chicken caeser salad or taco salad. Also make sure you try a cup of their beer cheese soup! It is made with their own beer and it tastes so good. So you will not have a problem at all finding something to eat. The problem you will have is what to choose. They also have a lot of great choices on their children’s menu.
The beer that they make is awesome! I have tried them all. They have 9 different choices that range from light ales to dark. My two favorites are the Honey Ale and the Raspberry Creme Ale. Here is a list of their beers and an explanation of what they are.
Dells Chief Amber Ale- This is a medium bodied amber colored ale that is smooth, sweet and malty. (ABV 5%)
Light Lager- A lager light in color and crisp tasting. Smooth and no after taste. (ABV 4.5%)
Blonde Bock- A deep golden, medium bodied lager. Very sweet (ABV 6.8%)
Belgium Double- Medium bodied and golden-copper colored. A fruity taste to this beer! (ABV 7.2%)
Dells Pilsner- Medium bodied lager crisp and has a hoppy flavor. (ABV 5%)
Honey Ale- Made with Wisconsin honey this bright golden sweet ale (ABV 4%)
Kilbourn Hop Ale- A medium bodied amber ale has a pleasant hop flavor and aroma (ABV 5.5%)
Raspberry Creme Ale- Made with real raspberries this mild bodied brew has a sweet berry flavor to it! (ABV 4%)
India Pale Ale- A deep copper colored brew with a lot of flavor and aroma. Known as a hop headed beer (ABV 5.7%)
English Brown Ale- A smooth medium bodied brown ale that is easy to drink (ABV 4.5%)
So as you see, Moose Jaw has a lot of different varieties of beer on tap for whatever mood you are in. The atmosphere here is amazing. The service is fast and very friendly. And the food and beer is awesome. If you are in the Dells area, stop in and try out a beer or two and grab a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed!
