Metro State College of Denver Alumni Events Calendar for August 2007

I’ve researched it. Now, the Fall 2007 Metro State College of Denver students can profit from my wisdom. This really is just for August 2007, but I still hope this article will help at least some of you. Check out their website at www.mscd.edu for more info.

Events, dates and times for August

Metro State Alumni Association at the Colorado Rapids

When: Thursday, August 16, 2007

Where: Dick’s Sporting Goods Park at Lot H, 6000 Victory Way in Commerce City

What: The Colorado Rapids are playing the New England Revolution. Starting at 6 p.m., The Alumni Associated plans to host a pre-game party in the West Parking Lot of the sporting goods park. Then comes the game. At half-time, the Metro State Women’s soccer team will be honored for their national championship of 2006.

Included: Enjoy some Qdoba Mexican Grill food, prizes and games.

Pay your Tuition Deadline

All tuition must be paid up on campus by Friday, August 17, 2007.

Investing 101 Workshop

Where: Campus – Tivoli 320 at A, B and C

When: Saturday, August 18, 3007 starting at 8:30 a.m.

What: Alumni get to learn about their financial futures. They will be taught how to invest their money successfully.

Cost: $8.00, payable in advance

Fall Term (From 8/20/07 to 12/08/07) Begins

Get to Metro campus to start your fall term on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 7:00 a.m.

Where: Tivoli Commons

When: Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.

What: A festival to start off the new year with great fun. Enjoy music, food and much more. The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.

Greek Week

Find out about Metro State Fraternities and Sororities with several programs and events, starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25.

Last Day to Drop Classes and Get a Full Refund

If you’re already sick and tired of your academic political science course or math course, this is one of the best days to drop the class. Why not make your decision early and get a 100% refund?

More events to look for this coming August

Petitions for In-State Residency Due by due by Monday, August 27, 2007.

Last day to get a place on a waiting list is August 28, 2007. This will be observed by Deans and Chairs the next day.

The Auraria Block Party on August 29 and starting at 11:00 a.m. will be a great Student Involvement Fair in which you will learn how to get involved with just about anything on campus.

Fall 2007 deadline for your ‘Application for Graduation Card’ on August 31.
