Location Ideas for Your Child’s Birthday Party

Child Birthday, Child Birthday Party, child's birthday, Child's Birthday Party

The planning of your child’s birthday party can be a big undertaking. The first step in your planning must come from where you intend to host the party. Some people choose to have the party at their own home. However others feel that a different location would be more suitable. Finding the perfect location is the key to your child’s birthday party success. Below I have given some ideas on different locations in which to host your child’s birthday party. I have also listed some advantages and disadvantages to these locations.

Restaurants/Eating Locations
The two most popular in this category are McDonald’s and Chuck E. Cheese. Both places offer party packages for a few. The best thing about both locations is that you get the food and the entertainment wrapped up into one. I have also seen parties held at locations such as Pizza Hut. However, most other eating locations do not have games or play lands such as McDonald’s and Chuck E. Cheese.

Parks
The best thing about a park is that it is free unless you reserve a shelter (which typically is not very much cost). Parks also have the entertainment built in. The children can play on the playground or you can take bats and balls for fun. The open space allows for the children to be loud and run without you having to worry about too much disruption to others. The bad part about having your child’s birthday party at a park is that much depends on the weather. It can be too wet, too cold, or too hot for your party. You also must supply some type of refreshments for your guests.

Churches/Civic Centers, Gyms
All of the listed above may or may not have a cost attached. Most civic centers do charge. However some schools and churches allow parties at no costs for members. These places can be great due to the size. However you do have to have something to keep the children occupies and you do have to worry about things breaking or being torn up. Gyms are better because the children can run and play with balls. Church fellowship halls and civic centers typically are not up for children running and screaming. These places are best if you plan to hire someone such as an animal person or a magician or a clown for entertainment. Try finding some type of entertainment where the children sit and watch or are not very active.
