In and around Richmond, Virginia, there are a number of places where you can find batting cages for practicing your baseball/softball swings. Here I have a listing of about 5 for you. Most of them are in the city of Richmond or at the least, very near to it.Check out each website for their special offers & coupons.

Bogeys Sports Park, located in the center of Richmond city, is open every day from 9am – 9pm.
They offer seven batting cages for baseball/softball practices & provide the bats and helmets. All you need to do is ‘bring your swing’, as they say on their web page.
You have the option 35, 45, 55, 70 and 80mph for baseball speed.
Pricing starts from $2.00 per token. Each token gives you 20 pitches. If you buy more tokens, the price goes down a bit. If you buy 20 tokens, you pay only $24.00
Currently they are running some specials which include 5 free tokens, when you buy 10 tokens at regular price. You can avail this offer if you bring in a non-perishable food item for the Central Virginia Food Bank.

This facility offers 9 stalls of batting cages. Pitching machines will pitch from 25mph to a blazing 85mph.
They open every day at 8am & stay open till 8pm. Except on Sundays or holidays, when they close at 7pm. The summer hours vary a little. For details, you can log on to their website.
The batting cages are well lighted. Bats and helmets are provided at no charge.
The rate per token is $2.00 again. And you get 20 balls per token. For a maximum of 100 tokens, you have to pay $95.00
Windy Hills also offers Team Discounts:
1/2 Hour – $30, 1 Hour – $45, 5 Hours – $150 and 10 Hours – $250
Best Deal they offer currently is 25 tokens for $25. It’s valid till May 31st 2012. Bat up some practice for the season!!

Rockwood Golf Park has state-of-the-art pitching system. They are equipped with dryers, so take your team here for some batting practice if your game gets cancelled due to rains. Good lighting in the batting cages is sure to help you see the ball better & make better contact.
Per token price is only $1.50 here, but you are getting only 15 pitches per token. Not much of a difference. You can get up to 80 tokens for $50.00.
When you rent as a team, it will cost you $25.00 unlimited for one hour.
Value offer they are running currently is 20 Tokens for just $15, an actual value $30.
Rockwood Park is open from 9am – 9pm starting March. From May-Aug, they will close at 10pm. For winter working hours, check their website. Also, don’t worry if you have a few pitches left at closing time. They allow 30 minutes to finish all activities after closing.

Patterson Golf Park is located only minutes from the City of Richmond. This facility has a special feature to offer the swingers. Their batting cages allow you to hit the ball into the field, not inside a cage. The target can be anywhere from 50 to 150 yards. Their balls are designed so they will not hurt your bat.
They offer baseball speeds of 35, 45 and 55 mph. All these for a very inexpensive rate too. You can get a 125 pitch token for only $3.00.
They are open 9am to 8pm on most days.

Glen Allen Golf batting cages offer all speeds of pitching; from slow pitch softball to 80 mph baseball speed. Stay sharp in the off season with their 7 batting cage stations.
Glen Allen Golf is open Mon-Thu from 9am to 9pm. Fri-Sat from 10am to 8pm. And Sundays from 10am to 7pm.
Each token costs $1.75 & you get 18 Pitches per token. They have a Batting Card Special currently for which you get 160 tokens for $100. They also offer great College Student discounts.
All of these places offer other attractions like Golf, miniature Golf as well as batting cages for baseball / softball practice. They also offer Golf lessons. Most of these places have place for holding private parties like birthday or any other event. You & your family can enjoy the various activities together & have some fun.
