I have to admit that I’m a fan of Kohl’s and, in particular, their Candie’s juniors clothing line. With “spokesgirls” such as Hayden Panetierre, Britney Spears and Fergie, it is clear that Candie’s is aimed at a teenage audience. Despite being in my early 20s, I still find the styles appealing and, most importantly, they fit into my budget. During a recent search for new and inexpensive bras, I decided to give the Candie’s bra line a try.
Bra Styles
Candie’s offers a wide variety of bra styles for juniors. They offer balconette, push-up and convertible styles. Bras also come in both unique and basic patterns. While the Kohl’s Candie’s collection offers modest black and white bras, they also offer bright colors, animal prints, stripes, polka dots, plaid and lace trim for those who want trendy styles. Girls who wear junior bra sizes are likely to find a style which is suitable for them. Candie’s also offers coordinating underwear in various styles, which include bikini panties, thongs, G-strings and hipsters.
Comfort/Appearance
Unlike many other brands, I found that Candie’s bras are very accurate in terms of size. They fit comfortably and are neither too tight nor too loose. I only purchased push-up bras, which give a fairly good lift in comparison to other moderately priced brands. The bras which have lace trim on the sides do not itch or feel any less comfortable.
One of the things that I like about a few of the bras that I purchased is that the straps appear frilly, which makes them seem like a somewhat more appropriate choice to wear with tank tops that reveal straps. However, Candie’s also offers bras which have traditional bra straps.
Price
The price of Candie’s bras varies according to whether or not they are on sale. They are normally priced at $24.00 and about $13.99 or less when they are on sale. Since Kohl’s seems to have sales fairly often, there are many opportunities to purchase these bras at a very reasonable price.
Limited Sizes
One of the biggest downsides to the Candie’s bra collection is that it is intended for juniors, which means that there limited size options. In fact, I just made the cut in terms of size. Kohl’s Candie’s bra collection runs from sizes 34A to 38C.
Overall, I highly recommend the Kohl’s Candie’s bras collection, which you can view at the Kohl’s website. The bras are comfortable and I will purchase them again in the future. There are a wide variety of trendy bra styles to choose from and they are very affordable when purchased on sale. The only disadvantage of the Candie’s line is that the bras are not available in smaller or larger sizes.
