Blizzard Beach, Cedar Fair, Knotts Berry Farm, Snoopy, Water Parks

Summertime is also here and that means that it is almost time for people to take vacations with their families and friends. Many people like to go swimming during the summertime and other people like to go to amusement parks. However, there are amusement parks in the United States that are also water parks. People are killing two birds with one stone that way.

There are two times of year that people take vacations; they are in the wintertime and in the summertime. In the wintertime people like to take their vacation at a location that has good skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. In the summertime, people like to vacation in a location that has great beaches and swimming pools. In addition, over the years water parks have become very popular in the summertime. There are a few water parks in the United States. There are two water parks in Orlando Florida near Disney World and Epcot Center. The water parks are called Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. In addition, there are at least three water parks in California. The three water parks in California are called Knott’s Soak City. Knott’s Soak City is located near Los Angeles California. Knott’s Soak City is a part of the Knott’s Berry Farm brand name.

Knott’s Berry Farm is a brand name with two separate entities: a theme park in Buena Park, California, and a manufacturer of food specialty products that are primarily jams and preserves, which is located in Placentia, California. In addition, Knott’s developed three Soak City USA water parks in Southern California. The theme parks are now owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. The food products are now a part of Con Agra Foods. Now that it is known that Knott’s Berry Farm is more than just jam, let’s talk about some of the park’s attractions.

Knott’s Berry Farm is divided into six distinct themed areas: Camp Snoopy, Ghost Town, Indian Trails, Fiesta Village, The Boardwalk, and Wild Water Wilderness. In addition, a small shopping village called California Marketplace sits outside the admission gate, and includes the famous Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant and a number of gift shops. At Knott’s Berry farm one of the most popular attractions is Camp Snoopy. Camp Snoopy is targeted toward younger visitors, with many of the rides and attractions being built specifically for children. It is themed around the Charles M Schultz “Peanuts” comic strip characters. Snoopy has been the mascot for Knott’s Berry Farm since 1983, and the characters can now be seen at all of Cedar Fair’s parks.

Another attraction at Knott’s Berry Farm that was perhaps the precursor to Knott’s Soak City is Wild Water Wilderness. Wild Water Wilderness is a small area that features one major ride, which is called the Bigfoot Rapids River Raft Ride. It also houses the Wilderness Scramble and the Mystery Lodge, which is a multimedia show based on an Expo 86 pavilion featuring a Native American storyteller. In addition, Knott’s Berry Farm has a new attraction called Indian Trails. It is a small area sandwiched between Camp Snoopy, Ghost Town, and Fiesta Village. It features no actual rides, but it does have a showcase of Native American arts, crafts, and dance.

There are many water parks in the United States besides Knott’s Soak City in California. Water parks have become very popular since they began in the 1950s. The United States has the largest and most concentrated water park market with over one thousand water parks now and new water parks opening every year.
