The KitchenAid Architect series of appliances has been greatly praised throughout the years. There are many reasons why people are flocking to this particular series of appliances, and the main cause for this is because of the quality. If you purchase a KitchenAid Architect series appliance, than you are guaranteed to get one of the best appliances available today. However, it is when I was researching this series that I found an absolutely amazing dishwasher. I am speaking of the KitchenAid Architect P Series 23-7/8″ Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher, Model: KUDP02FRSS
This dishwasher is completely filled with amazing features. Yet, many people aren’t aware of this dishwasher or its unique P Series. This very distinct model comes with such features as an automatic purge filtration system as well as a Hydro Sweep wash system. Although these are only two of the many features and various “systems” that are put into place within this dishwasher, they all have one thing in common. And that is the desire, and the ability, to clean your dishes like never before.
I suppose we can start this review from the outside to the inside. At first glance, this dishwasher is anything but boring. With it’s sleek design, onlookers will know that this machine is serious about cleaning your dishes. With the simplistic electronic controls you will be able to easily navigate through the various cycles and begin the cleaning process quickly and efficiently. However, even though the outside is breathtaking, just wait until you learn what is taking place on the inside of this machine.
When you open the dishwasher, you will see the various racks and all of the little features that come with them. The lower rack is completely customizable allowing you to fit all types of pots and pans in it. Also, the upper rack comes with fold-down tines, which are perfect for when you need to wash awkwardly shaped dishes. One of the coolest features about the sheer size of this machine is that it can comfortably wash up to fourteen place settings at once.
Some of the other features includes a “Culinary Caddy” that will securely store all of your utensils in the perfect position for an ultimate clean. This dishwasher comes with a total of five various wash/rinse cycles. Some of these cycles include normal, quick clean, heavy-duty, light/china and rinse only. There is even a four-hour delay-wash option, which will let you decide when you need to turn your dishwasher on. This machine actually works around your schedule, not the other way around like in older models.
Earlier I mentioned the Hydro Sweep system. However, many people aren’t exactly aware of what this system actually is. Basically what the Hydro Sweep system does is give your dishes five levels of washing action. There is a middle wash arm, as well as a four-way lower wash arm and a SureWash nozzle. This much washing power is unheard of , however, KitchenAid has raised the bar (or should I say rack). This dishwasher also comes with an automatic temperature control system, which uses various sensors to make sure the temperature setting actually matches up with the amount of cleaning that is required. There is even a Sani Rinse option which will raise the water temperature up to 160 degrees, which will kill most food bacteria as well as other various germs and viruses.
This dishwasher comes with so many features, it can become overwhelming to review them all. However, if you are looking for a dishwasher that will last you years, and keep your dishes cleaner and lasting longer, than I would highly suggest this KitchenAid Architect P Series Dishwasher. However, the price tag on this little baby is not very cheap. If you are looking to buy this dishwasher than expect to spend at least $1,100.00 – as I said earlier, this dishwasher definitely isn’t cheap, however, if you can afford it than it is definitely worth checking out.
