Kids’ Baseball Leagues in Kansas City

Overland Park

With warm weather comes youth athletic activities, therefore it’s time to look into youth baseball and t-ball leagues in the Kansas City area. If you’re ready for baseballs, bats and a little “Go team, go!” the following list offers for some options for kids’ baseball leagues in Kansas City, covering both Kansas and Missouri.

Blue Valley Activity Center (BVAC) is a great organization with various sports teams for children, including baseball. While the league name is Blue Valley, this league is in Independence, not Overland Park, as the name might suggest (not Blue Valley School District). Ages for BVAC’s baseball teams range from 3 years through 7th grade. Their teams are especially great for smaller children, as there are no tryouts, all the kids play in every game, there is no official scoring in T-Ball (3 yrs through kindergarten), and everyone receives a medal. There are 2 baseball fields, and all are lighted and irrigated. They have bleacher style seating, but it’s a good idea to bring your own lawn chairs for games, as they’ll probably be more comfortable. They also have a concession stand at the field.

http://nkca.leag1.com/

NKCA offers baseball teams for players ages 6 through 18. For younger players, they have t-ball, coach pitch and machine pitch. Games are played at the AJ Wilson Sports Complex located at 9217 N Brighton, Waterwell Park at 9 Highway & Broadway Extension, English Landing Park in Parkville located at 1st & Main, Macken Park in North Kansas City located at 716 E Clark Ferguson Drive and Kearney High School.

A benefit to playing for this league is that you may not have to worry about fundraising. NKCA believes that your families are already barraged with too many requests for your children to sell items. They use the registration fees to cover equipment, facilities maintenance and repairs, etc, and they also take donations. So good news, no selling trash bags or candy bars to your neighbors and co-workers!
