Finding stylish swimwear that can actually be worn in water and make a fashion statement is really hard to pull off, especially shorts that look good on me. I’m not super particular on who makes the swimsuits, but I do have to be able to wear them without being embarrassed, and they have to match my other tastes in clothing. Sauvage has a lot of different suits for all types of men, from very Europeanist taste to subtle well crafted athletic shorts and floral print shorts for the fashion forward. Sauvage has a lot of variety in their line and for all price ranges. My favorite is the Grey Mint Swimsuit, $60, a beautiful subtle design, a nice just above the knee cut, a quality looking short that is fashionable but not overly designed.
Moschino – have to be on any top designers list as the champion of both style and construction these swimsuits are the reining champion for fashion conscious men with an intoxicating brief box cut, best worn on beaches, and if you pick their bikini cut, then make that private beaches.
Andrew Christian, ballsy comes to mind for these varieties of bikini to short shorts that will definitely draw the eyes on the beach to say the least. They are also very fun and deserve to be on this list for the statement they are bound to make, perhaps your inner exhibitionist will come out. There briefs and trunks range from $40 – $70.
Zegna Sport – who makes some very well made board shorts I love. Classic colors or summer prints that are both stylish and athletic. The price is something to be discussed ranging from $247 to something for $78 that you wouldn’t want to be caught dead in.
