Jose Ole Taquitos Review

Quick meals are essential for my lifestyle. Since I go to college and work, there are nights when I simply don’t have time to cook a large meal. Thankfully there are thousands of quick fix products available. This means I can prepare quick meals without serving the same meals week after week. While looking through the sales paper last week I saw that Jose Ole Taquitos were on sale. Since I also had a coupon, I decided to give them a try. I absolutely love Mexican food, so I had high hopes for this product. But, how would they taste? Read on to find out what this foodie thinks about Jose Ole Taquitos.

Jose Ole Taquitos Review: Ease of Preparation

Jose Ole Taquitos can be prepared in three different ways. You can choose to bake, fry, or microwave them. I chose to bake them because this was the most convenient option and it’s what the package recommends. All you have to do is lay the product out in a single layer, preheat your oven to 400 degrees, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until crispy.

Jose Ole Taquitos Review: Taste

Jose Ole Taquitos comes in Steak & Cheese, Steak, Chicken, and Chicken & Cheese flavors. I chose the Chicken flavor. The first thing you must understand though is that I baked this product for double the amount of time listed on the package and the product didn’t get crispy. The ends, where there wasn’t any filling, got crisp, but that was it. Jose Ole Chicken Taquitos had decent flavor. I liked the spiciness of the product, but if the package hadn’t said so, I wouldn’t have known it was chicken. The spices mask the flavor of the meat. I think with less spices this product would have been better, but they also would have been better had they gotten crisp.

Jose Ole Taquitos Review: Price

A 20 count box of Jose Ole Taquitos will cost around $5. To me, this is a bit pricy. But, this product is often on sale and you can find coupons in the Sunday paper every few months.

Jose Ole Taquitos Review: Satisfaction Rating

I would have to give Jose Ole Taquitos 3 stars. They weren’t horrible, but they weren’t great either. Since they were just “ok”, I can’t recommend buying them. There are several other quick fix products that taste a lot better.
