* In 1980, Jon Bon Jovi recorded his first single, “Runaway.” When local radio stations started playing his single, people took notice. MTV and radio stations continued to play Bon Jovi’s song, which started his band’s rise to fame.

* In 1989, Jon Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea, at Las Vegas’ Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
