As I type these words, I am wearing a JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe that my wonderful aunt gave to me as a gift several years ago. This bathrobe is one of my favorite items to wear and it definitely gets a lot of use.

The robe that my aunt gave me is the Navy / Khaki color. For at least three years, I have been wearing this bathrobe and it has been machine-washed many times. The colors on the robe are still quite vivid and have not faded at all.

When I looked up the JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe at jcpenney.com , I was surprised to see that the item is only available online. On the page for the bathrobe, it says ‘Online exclusive ! Not available in stores’.
Price
On the JC Penney web site, the Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe carries a price tag of $34.99 with the words ‘Sale – Original $50.00’ printed alongside the price.
Comfortability
This men’s bathrode is very comfortable to wear. Once the cooler weather begins in October here in Hartford, Connecticut until late spring,, I wear this bathrobe frequently.
The flannel robe is soft, yet durable and it is lightweight enough for it to not be obtrusive.
Warmth Factor
One of the primary reasons that people, myself included wear bathrobes is to keep warm. The JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe helps to keep one’s body warm quite well.
This men’s bathrobe features a nice thick tie belt that enables the robe to be wrapped tightly around the body. It is not a complaint, but if the top of the robe, above the neckline folded closer together or had a button sewn into one side, it would keep the body even warmer.
During the cold New England winter months, if I wear a T-shirt, sweat shirt, pajama bottoms and this robe, it is usually enough to keep me warm in my apartment.
Because of its fairly light weight, the JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe is also great for wearing on cool spring and summer days and nights.
Care
Ever since I first started wearing it, my JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe has been machine washed and dried along with the rest of my clothes. It has never shrunk, frayed or faded in color.
Appearance
This bathrobe maintains a pleasing appearance that features a nice plaid design. The JC Penney web site shows each color of robe available and they all look good.
Pockets
Not only does this excellent men’s bathrobe feature two waist-level pockets, but it also has a left chest pocket, which is great for holding a pen.
Sizing
Interestingly, the JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe is a ‘one size fits most’ item. That term does seem true. My build is naturally thin, yet the robe fits me just right. Although there is plenty of room to spare, this men’s bathrobe is not at all baggy. When I stand up wearing this robe, the bottom of the robe reaches roughly six inches below my knees.
Overall Rating
The JC Penney Men’s Stafford Flannel Robe is a warm and comfortable men’s bath robe that is very reasonably priced. As mentioned above, according to the JC Penney web site, this men’s bathrobe is now available only online, through their web site.
If you’re seeking a fairly inexpensive, good quality men’s bathrobe, or even if you’re a woman who wants to wear a good flannel bathrobe, this bathrobe is a recommended item.
