Jakks Pacific and WWE’s Rarest Classic Series Figures

Jakks, Jakks Pacific, Roddy Piper, Toy Fair, Wwe Hall of Fame

Jakks Pacific and World Wrestling Entertainment have been creating the WWE Classic Series since 2004 and even though there are now over fifteen different series of figures releases, many of them are hard to find and collect. Some of them though, are so rare that they can sell for hundreds of dollars on EBay and some will never been seen again. Here is a look at the rarest WWE Classic Series figures.

Bobby Heenan: A legendary manager and announcer, Bobby Heenan was a great talker on the microphone and managed great superstars like Andre the Giant. It was rare that Heenan stepped into the ring and the figure representing that is rare as well. An exclusive to the New York City Toy Fair, the Bobby Heenan Weasel Suit figure was limited to only a hundred figures made and is almost impossible to find. Heenan’s nickname was the Weasel and because of a stipulation, he had to actually wear the suit to the ring. This is a humorous figure that would be great to any Classic Superstar collection.

Hall of Fame Hulk Hogan: Most inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame show up in a classic tuxedo to get their reward, but Hulk Hogan put a twist on the classic tuxedo and arrived in a sleeveless tux and wearing a black version of his trademark bandana. Jakks Pacific picked up on this unique look and created a line of Hogan figures dressed just like that but were a limited edition of just 3000 figures. These figures were released as a Toy Fare exclusive and are highly wanted by Hogan fans.

Rowdy Roddy Piper: The Jakks employees get all of the perks when it comes to the Classic Series, designing the figures, picking who makes the cut, and even exclusive figures that are created just for them. The Gold Glove Rowdy Roddy Piper was a limited edition of just twenty figures, that could be one of the rarest, just because of the amount alone. Piper is dressed in all Scottish plaid ringear, a robe and comes with a set of two huge boxing gloves. These will be nearly impossible to find, but a similar set with red gloves was also released in a bigger quantity.

Degeneration X Pack: Degeneration X was one of the most popular stables in WWE history and during shows at arenas today DX t-shirts and signs can be found everywhere. The exclusive Ringside Collectibles 2-pack cannot though, because this set was limited to 3000 figures, and is a great set that features a lot of accessories. Triple H comes dressed in a DX shirt, a replica of the now defunct European title, and is dressed in long wrestling tights. The Shawn Michaels figure comes with a chained vest, replica world title, and replica leather chaps. His pants have DX labeled on them and both of their faces resemble their time when DX was on the rise. A nice rare two pack, great for any collector.

When any toy festival or comic book festival comes along, expect more exclusive sets to come along and when they do, get them quick because their value can almost double immediately.
