There are different ways to set up your display at a Jewelry Home Show. You can use many different items that are just lying around your house. You would need a pretty piece of cloth to lay over your display items. A lot of people use a nice black cloth because black cloth seems to set the jewelry off. The size cloth that you will need will depend on the amount of jewelry that you have to display.
The first item on the list is the picture frame. You can do the picture frame two ways. First, you could just sit the picture frames on the table and drape the black clothe over them. You can also take the back of the picture frame out. Then cut two grooves at the top of the board so that the necklace will lay in the grooves. I used a couple of frames when I was practicing my display and I realized that the necklaces would slide down the board if they had a slide on the necklace. So cutting the grooves in the board will stop some of that. But you may also want to use a stick pin in the back of your board if the necklace still slides.
Next is a plastic round bowl. I know this sounds weird but you place the bowl upside down under the fabric and then you place your necklace on top of the bowl. Try to use a bowl that is about the size of the necklace. Then if you have matching earrings, you can lay them in the middle of the necklace.
Next is a roll of paper towels. Now doesn’t that just sound crazy. But believe it or not, paper towels make a great display for bracelets. It is best to use about a half of roll of paper towels. Lay the roll of paper towels under your fabric and then lay your bracelets on it. This works really great.
Next on my list are fingernail polish bottles. I know you’re probably thinking what in the world. Take the fingernail polish bottle and stick it under your cloth and place your rings on them. This makes a wonderful display for rings.
Last on my list are earring holders. The best thing to use for the earrings are those little wallet size picture frames. Take the back out of the picture frame and use that piece for your display. Stand the picture frame on its side under the cloth. Then hang your earrings on the frame. If you have post earrings you can buy the boards with the hook on the back of them and use those to hang on your frame.
All of these displays are great to use for your jewelry home show. You can find many things lying around your house that you can use for your display.
