The nitro model can be purchased for around anywhere from $100 to $150. So the choice is really up to the purchaser as to which way they choose to purchase their new HSP.
Controllers:
The controller for HSP RC Cars unlike a controller for an RC plane which can be awkward to use if one is not familiar with the controls. A remote control car controller is more like a portable drill in your hand. The controller has a trigger for speed and a dial which controls the direction of the HSP car. This style controller makes it so a young child can operate the controls without the fear of the HSP Racing vehicle being crashed or destroyed.

Unlike remote controlled planes that need a wide open clear area to operate HSP RC Cars only require a driveway or a sidewalk that has some room to have some fun, for added space one can certainly go to an unused parking lot to do special stunts if they like but it is not required.
