There are actually many ways to treat dry callused feet at home without spending so much money, and the results are incredible. Use the following ways to treat dry callused feet at home.

A pumice stone is perfect for treating dry callused feet

A pumice stone is a very cheap investment to help you get rid of dry callused feet. It is usually black in color with sponge-like air spaces, and you can buy one at your local market for as low as $3. They last a long time. After your routine shower, scrub your dry feet with a pumice to remove the calluses. Do the scrubbing gently to prevent any bleeding. After scrubbing your socked feet, wipe them with a clean dry towel and apply your daily moisturizer to keep your feet soft.

Remove calluses from your feet with hair shampoo

Dandruff in hair is as a result of a dry scalp, so most shampoos contain Salicylic Acid which dissolves the dry skin. This same hair product can help you treat dry callused feet. Vinegar is a weak acid so it corrodes the dry calluses on feet without causing any burns. In a basin with five cups of warm water, add ¾ cup of white vinegar then stir to mix and sock your feet in the solution for approximately 20 minutes. After the duration, gently scrub feet with a foot brush to remove the softened calluses. Do not soak for a very long time so you do not damage your nails. Wipe feet with a clean dry towel and moisturize. Repeat this procedure at least twice in a week to get rid of callused feet faster.

Use baking soda paste to remove calluses from feet

Some people prefer socking their feet in baking soda solution with salt, but I prefer the paste because the results were remarkable when I used it. In a cup with ½ of baking soda add just enough water and mix to make a paste. After taking shower or soaking feet in water for five minutes to soften them, apply the baking soda paste on dry callused feet then massage it on the feet. Wait for about 20 minutes and wash feet dry and moisturize.

Walking shoes and a pair of socks is a working treatment for dry calloused feet.

Walking barefoot or in open shoes is the main cause for dry callused feet, so wearing closed shoes is an ideal solution for many people. After washing your feet wipe them dry with a towel and moisturize then wear socks to keep them soft. Not wiping your feet dry before wearing shoes can cause peeling, the peeling skin then forms calluses after accumulation. Wear socks while walking in the house to reduce the exposure of feet to the ground.
