How to Spot a Fake Chanel Bag

Chanel, Knockoff

Spotting a fake handbag like Chanel is easy as long as you know what you are looking for. In this article I hope to give you consumers a little advice on what to look for and how the real ones look so that you can buy the real thing not a cheep knockoff.

1. Now the first thing to know is that Chanel never discounts it’s products. So chances are if you are getting ready to buy a Chanel at a really cheep price and the salesman tries to feed you some line that he got a discount RUN quickly cause its most likely a fake.

2. The second and most obvious thing to watch out for is items coming with the handbag. Chanel never does this. Many people that sell a fake Chanel bag will try to do this to attract attention to them and distract the buyer, but don’t be fooled.

3. Thirdly in general high end handbag makers usually protect the hardware of their bags with plastic that is not removed until the item is purchased. The hardware will also e of the same sheen and color. Discolored hardware is a sure sign of a fake bag.

4. Next and probably the most common way of spotting a fake handbag is poorly done stitching. The stitching should be straight and evenly spaced. Loose threads or poorly aligned stitching is one of the most common giveaways.

5. The next most common giveaway is the icon is two C’s sitting side y side. The top of the right C should over lap the left and the bottom of the left C should over lap the right. A common mistake is knock offs will get this backwards or have them not overlapping at all.

6. A huge mistake is the writing on the inside is always in English and read normally. Some knockoffs are made y people that do not know how to properly speak English and therefore write things backwards.

7. Lastly and most importantly is every Chanel handbag comes with a authenticity card. The card should have a serial number on it and every Chanel bag comes with one. Then find the matching serial number inside the bag itself. The serial number should be printed on a white sticker. There is two Chanel logos sitting above them.

In closing track any repeating pattern on the bag. True Authentic Chanel bags never break the pattern. Even if there is a pocket on the bag the pattern should be flawless. With these tips you should easily be able to spot a fake from a real one.

These tips are meant to be general and therefore I have not included any price or price range information. It is my intention to allow you the dear reader to not e fooled no matter the price a salesman puts on their knockoffs
