How to Make Thin Hair Look Thick

Short Haircut, Thicker, Thin Hair

My mom is always telling me that she loves my hair, and wishes hers could be as long and thick. Long I agree with, it is getting close to my waist line, but thick I am not to sure about. I always thought my hair was thin, and have always wanted it to be full and thick. But how can you make your hair look thick, when it really isn’t? Here are a few ideas that just might help.

One of the things to considered doing to make your hair look thick, is to go to your hair salon. There are five main haircuts that will make you haiur look thicker, but be sure to talk to your stylist about what cut will look best on you.

The first cut is called the bob haircut, and can be done many ways. Long layers on the side, will make hair appear fuller, giving your hair a thicker, sharper line with lots of body. Longer bods look better with a thicker face, be sure to carefully decide which one is best for you.

Second is the chop cut. This is basically like the bod, however the ends are cut irregular. This cut will give thin hair style and shape giving hair more body. This cut is also very easy to maintain.

Cap cut, is the third option. This look is all about the bangs, and will give your hair plenty of body without taking away any of its length. This particular cut works best on an oval shaped, or very petite face.

Next is the crop cut. The crop is any tapered, short haircut. This cut puts a lot of attention on your eyes, and may be not so flattering on your chin and neckline, for the older aged.

Finally there is the the mid-lenghth and lightly layered look. If you are like me and do not want to cut of a lot of hair, then this is a good haircut. This style is at the shoulders, with slightly diagnal lines moving forward at the sides, add a few light layers to provide volume.

Blow drying your hair while lifing out away from the head with a brush, can also make hair look fuller. A body wave or curly perm, can also do the trick.

If you do not want to try a haircut, or just really having a hard time deciding what style, then you can always look at other options. There are many new products on the market to make hair look thicker. There are thickening serums, volumizing shampoos and conditioners, and lotions. You can even get a prescription.

No matter what it is you decide to try, be sure to shop around. Consult with different stylist, friends, doctors, look in more than one store, not all offer the same products.
