I joined www.gaiaonline.com or Gaia Online back in March 2007. I have to say that it is one of my absolute favorite and free online games. Gaia Online is a website where you can dress up your “avatar” with pixelated clothing and items purchased with their online currency – gold. A lot of new users however find the process of making gold daunting and don’t know where to start. In this guide I will explain the methods I’ve come across for getting gold in an easy to follow, simple to do format. These are the methods that many users find useful, which I myself have listed here to help any user new to Gaia. While these methods are common knowledge I have organized them in a completely original way to highlight the ones that worked the best for me in my own experience.
1. Vote in the Arena. On Gaia, people can enter their avatars into the an arena where they can win prizes of gold if they receive a lot of votes. Users are rewarded by Gaia with gold for each vote they make. This is one of the fastest methods of gaining gold on Gaia as there is very little wait time in between rewards. You can also pick up some cool ideas for items for your own avatar in the process.
2. Post in the Forums. Gaia will reward users 50 gold for the first post they make that day. People use the forums to talk about a variety of topics. If a user wishes to post nonsense for gold there is a forum for that called the Chatterbox where you can literally post anything and be rewarded gold. Posting gold decreases each time a user posts, but this resets again to 50 gold for the first post in 12 hours.
3. Leave comments on profiles. For the first comment a user leaves on a profile, Gaia will reward them 40 gold. This amount also decreases after each subsequent post. However, much like forum posting, this gold can build up steadily if a user keeps leaving comments until the gold rewards stop.
4. Sell in the Marketplace. If a user has items they no longer wish to have, they can sell these items to other users for gold through the Marketplace. Items can also be sold to the Gaian stores for half the gold they are worth. Users can also sell “free” items they pick up on the site.
5. Get the Daily Chance. Every day a user can claim various free items by clicking on certain tabs on the website. These items can be sold to the stores or on the Marketplace for more gold. The gold adds up.
6. Do puzzles. Gaia Online has many games that users can play which involve rewards of gold. A lot of gold can be earned from doing a simple jig-saw puzzle. This only takes five minutes to one hour depending on the difficulty. The harder the puzzle you choose, the higher the reward of gold. Gaia rewards anywhere from 100 gg to 900 gg for doing a puzzle. Sometimes puzzles contain bonus items, like clothing, which you can sell on the Marketplace for gold.
7. Apply to charities. If you have the patience this one can get you anywhere from 100 gg to 1000 gg or more. Gaians who already have the items they want for their avatars work to save gold for others. Most charities require some small form to be filled out in order to qualify for their gold. This method really works if you have the patience to apply to as many charities as you can and to fill out all the required forms.
8. Go into Gaia Towns. Gaia Towns is a feature of the website that your avatar can walk around in as you click your mouse on the screen. In Gaia Towns you will find rocks, trees, and bushes; all of these objects are click-able and some reward you with gold. You can also find trash and flowers in Towns, which you can sell to other users on the site for gold on the Marketplace.
9. Surf the website. Gaia rewards you just for surfing. Every few minutes the website will randomly generate gold for a user as they surf to different pages. You can earn gold while following the previous eight suggestions and while you are already earning gold from them.
These nine easy steps are fun to do and take very little time to go through. Not everyone new to the site knows about them. Anyone who tries them will get quite a bit of gold in a very short time. If you do these steps daily all that gold will build up very fast.
