2. Glue or tape the card stock or cut poster board to the bowl’s bottom. Allow for the glue to dry.

3. Take the yarn and wrap it around your three of your fingers or a small piece of cardboard (about six to eight inches) a few times. This should make the wrapped yarn the size of your three fingers together or the size of the six to eight inch piece of cardboard.

4. Slip the yarn off of your fingers or cardboard and tie another piece of yarn around it, so it looks like there are a few pieces tied together.

5. Cut the yarn off of the ball of yarn, leaving enough yarn to attach the tassel to the top of the graduation cap.

6. Attach the tassel to the center of the top of the graduation cap. You can carefully poke a hole through the board and bowl, stick the end of the yarn through it, and tape it to the inside. Or you can just simply tape the end of the tassel to the top of the cap.

7. This is optional, but you can also take a hole puncher, pen, or pin and carefully poke two holes on each side of the bowl.

8. Measure out the stretchy string to comfortably fit your child’s head and chin and cut it. Allow some space to tie the string.

9. Tie each end of the string through the holes in the bowl. This will help to keep the hat on the child’s head.
