How to Go to Bed with Wet Hair & Wake Up with Perfect Waves

Biosilk, Wavy Hair

I have struggled with my naturally curly hair my entire adult life. It seems that when I was a kid, I had these beautiful waves in my hair, but then when I needed them the most (about the time I discovered boys) they turned into this frizzy mess instead of beautiful wavy hair. I have tried several products and several processes to get beach wavy hair and some have worked while some have left me looking like a poodle in a sauna.

I can get my waves by using the techniques that the stars use to get their beautiful wavy hair; however, I found that this was too time consuming with my hectic lifestyle. I needed to find a much more simple way to get my fantastic wavy hair. I decided to search until I found the perfect styling product and the easiest method for achieving the waves I desired without spending hours on my hair. Then I discovered a way to wash my hair, go to bed and wake up with beautiful waves in my hair. Remember, everyone’s hair is different so try both ways below to see which one works best for your hair type.

Easiest Way to Wake Up with Wavy Hair

I have seen many versions of this technique on the internet and heard many people say they have tried this technique without success. I found the keyto achieving this look is starting with the right product.

1. Wash and condition hair with a light conditioner. Too much conditioner will cause hair to be heavy instead of wavy.

NOTE: The key to this technique is using a product to set the style during the night. I use Sally Hershberger Style Primer for Wavy Hair because it leaves my hair soft and wavy, gives great hold and style without making my hair crunchy and sticky.

2. Towel dry hair, comb and apply Sally Hershberger Style Primer for Wavy Hair. Comb through hair to evenly distribute product.

3. Divide hair into sections and follow one of these two steps:

a. Braid hair into 3 French braids – 1 in the middle and 1 on each side and secure each braid with a ponytail holder.

b. Separate hair into smaller sections and wrap each section around your finger. Slide hair from finger and bobby pin hair to scalp. Repeat with all hair sections all hair is pinned and secured.

NOTE: I have had success with both of these techniques it just really depends on which one is better for you.

4. Go to bed with hair pinned up. When you wake up, remove the bobby pins or pony tail holders. Turn head over and gently separate hair working from the root. Do not brush through hair because this will cause hair to frizz. Flip head up and lightly spray with Biosilk Silk Therapy for shine.
