The lobby walls of granite and sandstone rise into an eight story atrium with a stained glass ceiling. One of the most elegant hotels in Denver, Brown Palace has retained its grandeur and grace.

Henry Brown was an entrepreneur who had made a fortune selling his land on Capitol Hill. Brown spared no expense in the building of his “Palace Hotel.” The Italian Renaissance hotel has an exterior of Colorado red granite and Arizona sandstone. The finishing touch was 26 medallions carved in stone, each depicting a native Rocky Mountain animal. In the atrium lobby the balconies rise eight stories , surrounded by cast iron railings with ornate grillwork panels.

Brown’s Bliss, the Spa at Brown Palace, is a 5,200 square foot spa. Afternoon Teas is a longstanding tradition that has taken place for more than a century. Naturally pure water from the hotel’s own artisan well is served to guests.

The Oxford Hotel

Oxford Hotel, built during the Silver Bonanza in 1891, is one of the few remaining 19th century hotels in Denver. Oxford has a classic exterior and extravagant interior with oak furnishings, sterling silver chandeliers and stained glass accents. The Oxford survived the “Silver Panic, ‘and the Great Depression.” In the 1930’s the hotel was remodeled in the Art Deco style of the era.

Hotel Boulderado. The name Boulderado is a combination of Boulder and Colorado. Hotel Boulderado is situated in the historic downtown district of the city Northwest of Denver. Boulder’s first luxury hotel was an instant success when it opened on New Year’s Day in 1909. The five story Italianate brick building has a lobby with a glittering green stained glass ceiling, and cherry staircase.

Boulderado is a hotel with turn of the century elegance, furnished with antiques and Victorian reproductions. The restored hotel offers modern amenities, including business center, fitness center, lobby bar, lounge and high speed Internet.
