Healthquest is located on Route 31 in Flemington, NJ. It is one of my favorite places in Hunterdon County. Why? Because it is a health club with all the extras. What I mean by extras is that its got alot to offer just about anyone. My daughter and I are members and we go about four times a week. Healthquest offers youth and adult classes such as dance, karate and gymnastics. My daughter currently takes Jazz, Hip Hop, Baton and Gymnastics. For one monthly membership fee all dance, karate and gymnastic classes are included. The teachers are excellent and the facility is really nice. Healthquest holds an annual Dance Recital at Hunterdon Central High School in June which features dance routines from each dance class from ages four years to adult. In addition, the Gymnastics department holds an Exhibition in June to showcase what the children have learned in the Gymnastics classes.
While my daughter takes her dance and gymnastics classes, I use that time to exercise in the gym. Healthquest has all kinds of weight lifting equipment, treadmills, elipticals, stationary bikes, etc. The gym is lined with big flat screen televisions all programmed to different channels. There are devices on each exercise machine that you can plug your headphones into and hear a specific television program or listen to music if you don’t have your own ipod or MP3 player.
Healthquest has two swimming pools. One is located inside the club and one is located outside. The indoor pool is included with membership but the outside pool requires a separate fee. I go with the indoor pool because its big, very clean and available whether its raining outside or not. Healthquest also offers many themed birthday parties for kids. The club is very family oriented and you get a very comfortable feeling being there.
There are vending machines throughout the facility as well as a cafe where you can get fresh bagels, sandwiches, coffee, etc. Healthquest also has a nice dining area outside the cafe with many tables available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They just recently added a Day Spa to the club where you can get your hair done or get a massage. There are also many group exercise classes available which are also included with your membership.
Healthquest offers different types of memberships too. You can have a family membership, individual or parent and child. Since my husband and son don’t use the facility, I am able to save some money by not having a whole family membership but just a parent and child for myself and my daughter. They really aim to please their members and go the extra mile to accomplish just that. I am always greeted warmly when I enter the club and am wished a great day or night when I leave by the staff member at the front desk.
I recommend Healthquest to anyone looking for a great place to work out and if you have kids who love to dance, tumble or take karate you are really in for a treat.
