Haier Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner: Chemical-Free Cleanser Great for Gold Jewelry

Gold Jewelry, Jewelry Cleaner, Ultrasonic

On Christmas morning, we opened up a parcel to find a Haier Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner. As both my husband and I have an abundance of gold jewelry, we were so happy to receive it from his daughter and son-in-law.

The machine is white and oval in shape. Upon opening the top/lid of the machine there is a stainless steak tank. This you add cold water until it comes up to the maximum mark. You put your jewelry into the basket provided. Next put the basket into the tank of the machine. If you are cleaning very large items then they can be placed into the tank without using the basket. Next close the lid/cover.

Plug the machine into an outlet. You will see that the blue light with turn on. Next press the ‘on’ switch to start the machine. You will see the red indicator light on and hear noises from the machine. It sounds as if it is spitting or hissing.

The machine will automatically turn itself off once the 3-minute cycle is over. The instructions state that you should unplug the unit, open it up, take out the basket, and pour the water away. Then dry the unit.

My husband tried it out first on his heavy gold chains and rings. He put them through 2 cycles and his gold jewelry looked like new. I took off my 14 rings and my bracelet and put them through one cycle. I figured they hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time so I did a second cycle.

After completing this I unplugged the unit, emptied it and wiped it dry. I dried my jewelry and was astonished that one of my mother’s rings I wear, she passed away, looked better than the day I received it from her.

Upon reading the user manual for model HU335W it lists specifications as follows:

“Voltage AC 100-120V, 50/60 Hz.

Model HU335W

Power 35W.

Exterior Dimensions 8.27″x5.51″x5.91″

Timer setting 3 minutes

The Digital Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner has 42,000 ultrasonic waves per second. I love the thought of just using cold water and saving on chemicals.

The manual also states:

“The Haier Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner restores luster and shine to jewelry, watches, glasses and more. Microscopic bubbles created by energy waves loosen surface dirt and dust particles for a thorough cleaning that effectively and efficiently restores items to their original brilliance. Use the Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner to clean jewelry, pins, watches, glasses, dentures, razor heads, antique coins, keys and key chains.”

It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.

I couldn’t find the product at www.haier.com but was able to locate it at the online Wal-Mart site. Their price was $34.

I will spend the next few days cleaning everything in sight.
