Are you thinking about taking guitar lessons? If you live in or around the Louisville, Kentucky area there are several places you should check out. The following are four locations that offer guitar lessons (private or group, almost any age group) with pertinent information you’ll need to know:

Lessons: Individual weekly 30 or 60 minute lessons. No group lessons.

Tuition/Cost: $90 per month for weekly 30-minutes lessons, $180 per month for weekly 60-minute lessons. There is a flat rate for both 30 and 60 minute lessons with no pro-rating for lessons missed by the student.

There is a $30 registration fee per student ($40 maximum per family).

Special Notes: Lessons given August through May. June and July on separate schedule (summer tuition is collected in full at the beginning of summer). Notable Beginnings works with students who may have started with another teacher/school and found it didn’t work out. If you are under age 14, you must be supervised by an adult at all times (meaning the adult has to stay throughout the lesson).

Tuition/Cost: Weekly lessons for 16 weeks. Traditional 16 week semester cost: 30 minutes $400; 45 minutes $576; and 60 minutes $768. If you have a third child who enrolls your cost is 80% of tuition (private lessons only). There is a $20 Registration Fee at the beginning of a 16 week session.

Lessons: Private and Group (groups of 2 to 3 can also take advantage of private lessons which usually involve a parent/child, 2 friends, or a family learning the same instrument at the same time).

Tuition/Cost: 30 and 60 minute lessons. Monthly lessons: Novice/Beginner Level, 30 minutes $80, 60 Minutes 160; Intermediate Level, 30 minutes $100, 60 minutes $200, Master Level, 30 minutes $140, Hour $280. There is an enrollment/registration fee of $25 per student or $35 per family.

Special Notes: Lessons are held in private rehearsal rooms that contain the latest technology (amps, keyboards, mics, computers). You can also have a progress report every 6 weeks. Private concerts are available for those who want to play for a group. Students are allowed to set their own goals.

If you are at the intermediate or masters level you must audition or be recommended by your former instructor.
