Ski Brule has been around since 1956. There are 14 trails with 8 lifts, 3 chair and 5 surface. The trails are rated from novice all the way up to expert. There is also snowboarding, tubing, Nordic/cross country, half pipe and a terrain park.

Mt. Holly is just an hours drive from Detroit, you can’t get more convenient than that. They have 20 trails from beginner to most difficult with 7 lifts, 6 ropes and a carpet.

They also have night skiing and snowboarding.

You won’t go hungry at Mt. Holly either.

There are two cafeterias, a pizza room, and a snack bar, so when you need a break from the slopes, you can get what you need to get an energy boost and get back at it. At the Slopeside Café, you will find a food court with a taco and Mexican food bar, a self serve drink island, and a walk up grill.

The Lift Lounge is for the over 21 crowd, where they can sit in front of one of the fireplaces and enjoy drinks and food.

Crystal Mountain is a good sized, four season resort. And a great place to get in your winter ski resort vacation. There are 45 trails, rated easiest to most difficult and they are served by 9 lifts. There is night skiing and snowboarding is allowed on all the slopes. They also have Nordic/cross country, 4 half pipes and 2 terrain parks.
They cannot be matched when it comes to dining options.

Picnic Park – Open winter only
Picnic Park in the Crystal Center offers a mid-day dining area for “brown baggers”. The large screen TV shows your favorite snow sports movies, and a snack area offers brown baggers items they may have forgotten. This has been expanded this winter to include a taco bar, chili and hot pockets.
