This is all possible if you choose to get married at Thornewood Castle. Thornewood Castle is a magnificent three story manor, dating from the turn of the century. The English Tudor/Gothic mansion is one of the few genuine private castles in the United States. It is over 27,000 square feet. The castle boasts 54 rooms which include 28 bedrooms and 22 baths.
Thornewood Castle is on the National Register of Historic Places and now serves as a grand Inn. The castle also features all the modern conveniences of a modern facility. The castle is located on American Lake and guests have the opportunity to roam the grounds and enjoy the beautiful ½ acre sunken English garden.
An interesting bit of knowledge regarding Thornewood Castle, is that the castle served as the site for the filming of Stephen King’s mini-series “Rose Red” in 2002.
