Now, I have reviewed several other GE electric ranges — which I suggest you reading if you are looking for a new GE range — however, I haven’t quite come across an electric range like this one. It is the GE 30″ Self-Cleaning Slide-In Electric Range – JS395KSS. This range comes with amazing features, but isn’t overwhelming with them. By all accounts, you will be able to actively use all of the features that the oven comes equipped with.
This oven comes with the SmartSet controls and electronic clock and timer, which are all very simple to use and adds to the overall simplistic nature of this amazing oven. This oven is an astonishing 4.4 cubic feet, which allows its users a literal multitude of various cooking options!
On the surface of this oven there are two six inch and two eight inch plug-in coil heating elements that provide consistent and even heat flow. They are also removable in design, thus making cleaning an absolute breeze! There is a one-piece chrome drip bowl that catches spills and boil-overs, and there are also removable for hassle-free cleaning.
Within the oven there is the Dual bake element which alternates the top broil element and the lower baking element for even heat distribution and thorough baking results. The auto oven shut-off feature shuts the oven off if left on for several hours for added safety. There is also a self-cleaning mode that tackles spills and messes in the oven for you, taking this chore off of your to-do list; variable cleaning time allow syou to set the cleaning mode to fit your needs.
There is also a feature called, “Sabbath Mode” which safely maintains a temperature in the oven for an extended period of time, which complies with kosher practices. There is also a removable full-width storage drawer which creates plenty of space for your pots and pans.
