Fun Sleepover Party Ideas for Boys

Rock Painting, Sleepover Party

Most sleepover party ideas found online are for girls, but boys have sleepover parties too, and boys want fun and exciting activities and food other than frozen pizzas and hotdogs. Here you’ll find a number of food and activity ideas that boys enjoy. Consider these sleepover party ideas or build on these ideas to come up with your own. Girls aren’t the only ones who want unique and exciting sleepover party ideas!

Muchos Nachos

Kids love nachos, and a nacho bar is a great idea for a sleepover party for boys. Provide plenty of taco meat, nacho chips heated in the oven, and other toppings such as shredded cheddar cheese, salsa, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, taco sauce, sour cream, olives, and anything else that’s good on tacos. Serve the meat on a pile of heated chips, and the boys can add the toppings they prefer.

Balloon Hopping and Stomping

Depending on the ages of the boys, a balloon hopping and stomping contest can be a lot of fun at a sleepover party. Tie strings to inflated balloons of various sizes, and have each boy tie one balloon to their ankle. The object of the game is to stomp on the other players balloon in an effort to pop them. The last person left with an inflated balloon is the winner of this exciting sleepover party game.

M & M Relay

An M & M Relay is a lot of fun for boys of all ages, especially at a sleepover party. Fill up small bowls with the same number of M & M’s and set each bowl on a chair. Place empty bowls on the other side of the room, about 10 or 15 feet away, and give each one a straw. When the game begins, the boys will run to their designated bowl while holding an M & M on the end of their straw while running to the empty bowl. The first person to transfer all of his M & M’s to the bowl on the other side of the room is the winner. Best of all, the boys can eat their M & M’s when the game is over.

Cupcake Decorating Ideas

Cake decorating isn’t only for girls, and boys enjoy decorating cupcakes with tubes of color frosting, sprinkles, bits of candy, dried fruit, chocolate chips, and anything else that tastes good on cupcakes. It’s a fun activity at a sleepover party. Give each of the boys a frosted cupcake, and provide them with bowls filled with toppings. This makes a great snack as well as a fun activity for boys of all ages.

Campfire Fun

Kids love campfires, and weather permitting, you can build a campfire in your backyard during a sleepover party. Provide the boys with campfire food such as hotdogs, marshmallows, and items for making s’mores. This is a sure winner at a sleepover party, and the kids will have a fantastic time sitting under the stars, telling ghost stories, jokes, and eating their fire-roasted treats.

Rock Painting

Boys enjoy getting creative as much as girls, and depending on their ages, rock painting can be a fun activity at a sleepover party. Provide the boys with clean smooth stones of various sizes and plenty of latex craft paint and paintbrushes. Have everyone cast their vote for their favorite finished stone, and make it clear that they can’t vote for themselves. Provide a small prize for the person with the most votes, and the boys can take their painted stones home to give as gifts or to keep as a reminder of the fun they had at the party.
