Art Sparks

Art Sparks is an interactive art gallery designed with the entire family in mind. Among the attractions at Art Sparks is Planet Preschool, a fun place for kids five years and under, and Hands-On Art, which is a special room filled with all the supplies you need to create your own works of art. Churchill Downs Junior Jockey Clubhouse

Churchill Downs Junior Jockey Clubhouse is an air-conditioned area full of fun activities and toys for little ones. It is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12 PM to 4 PM, with the Churchill Downs mascot Churchill Charlie making appearances throughout the day. Admission is $2 for adults, and children under the age of twelve are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

Falls of the OhioState Park

Falls of the Ohio State Park is located just across the bridge in Clarksville, Indiana, and features 386 million year old fossil beds that are among the largest Devonian Fossil Beds in the world. Besides the fossil beds the Falls of the Ohio State Park also features an Interpretive Center that serves as a museum and educational center detailing the history of the Falls of the Ohio. Admission to the park and fossil beds are free, and admission to the Interpretive Center is $4 for adults and $1 for children Monday through Thursday, and $5 for adults and $2 for children Friday through Sunday. There is a $2 parking fee charged for visitors not coming into the Interpretive Center. The parks hours are Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday 1 PM to 5 PM. Green Tree 10 Cinemas

Green Tree 10 Cinemas is located just a few short minutes from Louisville in Clarksville, Indiana. All movies at Greentree 10 Cinemas are $1 per person, except on Fridays and Saturdays after 6 PM when admission is $1.50 per person. Henry’s Ark

Henry’s Ark is a petting zoo that is home to more than one hundred different animals including goats, sheep, cattle, swans, ducks, bison, water buffalo, camels, zebras, yak, elk, and deer. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. Henry’s Ark is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to dark, and is located at 7801 Rose Island Road in Prospect.

Home Depot

Home Depot offers Kid’s Workshops on the first Saturday of each month from 9AM to noon for children ages five through twelve. The workshop is free and children construct a project from pre-fabricated kits. For more information and store locations you can visit the Home Depot website.

Michael’s Arts and Crafts Stores

Michael’s offer classes for both kids and adults, and on Saturdays have a special workshop from 10 AM to 12 PM where kids can create a different craft each week. The cost of each workshop is $2 per child, and includes all supplies. Michael’s has two Louisville locations, one at 10221 Westport Road, and another at 1955 South Hurstbourne Parkway.
