Free Coloring Pages for Mardi Gras!

Eye Mask, Mardi Gras Masks

Mardi Gras comes around every year. For those of us who don’t live in the city of New Orleans and can’t get the full experience, there are resources that still support us to celebrate. One way for children to enjoy Mardi Gras is to color pages with different pictures that have to do with the Mardi Gras celebration. Whether you’re a school teacher or a mother who’s trying to show your children the spirit of Mardi Gras, there are plenty of links below to the best free coloring pages for Mardi Gras.

The first picture is my personal favorite. There is a large joker in full headdress and mask in the center of the page. Behind the joker there is the New Orleans skyline. Below the joker’s face is written Mardi Gras in fancy and festive lettering perfect to bring excitement to your child’s day. This page can be printed directly form the website or saved and printed later on. The following is the hyper link for this coloring page.

This next picture is one of a joker who is marching by himself. He has jester sticks in his hand with the joker faces on the end of the sticks. He is in full joker costume with a big smile on his face. It is based on a blank background and is easier to color for younger children. This page can easily be printed directly from the website or you can save it to your computer and print later. The following is the hyper link for this coloring page.

This next picture has a few special features to it. Not only can your children color it once you print it out, but they can color it on line too! Yes, I mean they can pick out colors to color the picture perfectly while it is still on the Internet! This particular picture features the decorative face mask along with two eye masks. They all have different designs on them and are perfect for your little girl! This page can also be easily printed from the web page directly or you can upload it to your computer and print it later! This next picture does not have any fancy masks or jokers in it, but has more of the cultural scene of Mardi Gras. In this picture is a section of the French Quarter in New Orleans. When coloring this picture you can explain to your child how much of a historical site it is and what has been going on there for years. At the top of the coloring page it says that it is the French Quarter located in New Orleans. This page can be directly printed from the web or you can upload it to your computer for later use and printing. The following is the link for this picture.

The next picture on my top ten list incorporates the jazz feel of New Orleans while also incorporating the Mardi Gras feel. This picture is based on a solid blank background and includes a saxophone which is one of the most used instruments in jazz music. Next to the saxophone is a joker face. Surrounding these two pictures there is plenty of confetti at all angles around them. This picture can be easily printed from the web page or uploaded to your computer for later printing. Just past the halfway mark of my list, I have found another interesting coloring page for children that will spark their interest. In this page, there is a crawfish dressed up in Mardi Gras beads and wearing an apron. There is Mardi Gras written above the crawfish while the crawfish is saying a message. I personally find this picture amusing since it is typical for there to be crawfish boils all over New Orleans during Mardi Gras. This picture can also be easily printed both from the web or from being uploaded onto your computer. The following link is below.

This picture is more of an easy coloring experience for younger children. This picture is also based on a solid blank background with a picture of a woman wearing a large headdress. The headdress is characterized for the Mardi Gras theme and can easily be printed from your home computer after being uploaded or directly printed from the web. The next picture is that of a mask which you can use both as a picture or a cutout mask for your children. It is a basic mask that can easily be colored by younger children. It features the eye mask coverings with what looks like thick whiskers coming from all sides and angles of the mask. This can be easily printed or saved for later use on your computer directly from the web page. The following is the link for this picture.

This picture is also an easier one for younger children to color. This is of a joker’s headdress and eye mask. The headdress is somewhat intricate so it may be more difficult for younger children to color this. The eye mask is also plain and is completely separated from where the headdress is. There is no actual face, so with the right products, you can make a craft out of this picture. This picture is also easily printed or uploaded to your computer directly from the website. The last, yet never the least picture I am recommending for your children today, is one of a large joker face. This joker face includes a huge smile that will more than likely bring a smile to your children’s faces also. This joker is in the typical headdress and costume from what you can see. This is also another picture which is easily printed or uploaded to your computer directly from the website. The following is the link for this picture.
