Are you looking for a children’s birthday party theme that hasn’t been overdone by others? If so, you may want to consider looking no further than Bedrock U.S.A. for inspiration. Yes, I am talking about the Flintstones. In my experience, the Stone Age family makes a great party theme. However, you will need to get a bit creative when it comes to party favor ideas. With that said, here are a few suggestions to get you started:
Caveman Bat
Depending on your party guests’ ages, you may want to contemplate handing out caveman bats as party favors. The bats come in different shapes and sizes. There are even companies that sell L.E.D. light-up bats. Personally, I’d suggest that you stick with a traditional bat because it fits in with the Flintstones theme better. In most instances, a plastic Caveman Bat will cost you $3 each through costume shops or party supply retailers.
In my opinion, Pop Rocks make wonderful Flintstones themed party favors. After all, Barney and Fred did spend their days working at the Bedrock Quarry and Gravel Company. On average, a 50-piece case of Pop Rocks is apt to cost you $16 through candy retailers or party supply shops. I’d suggest purchasing an assortment of flavors. That way, you’re likely to have flavors on hand that will make most of the kids happy.
Pet Dinosaur Craft
Do you remember Dino? He was the Flintstones’ beloved pet dinosaur. As such, you may want to give your party guests an opportunity to have a pet dinosaur of their own. One great way to do that is to invest in a Design Your Own Ceramic Dino-Mite Dinosaurs Craft Kit. The kit contains modest size, ceramic dinosaurs that may be customized with paint. The kits tend to sell for $17 each and may double as a party activity.
Flintstones Cupcake Rings
In my experience, Flintstones Cupcake Rings make great party favors as well. The rings are available for purchase through select party supply shops. A dozen rings are apt to lighten your wallet by about $3. I’d suggest pairing the rings with Flintstones Stickers and coloring books.
Wilma’s Necklace
If you are feeling crafty, you may want to consider making your guests a homemade version of Wilma’s iconic necklace. In order to make the necklace, you’ll need ping pong balls, a needle and jewelry making supplies. Once you have all of your supplies on hand, simply string jewelry wire through the center of the ping pong balls. Afterward, cap off the wire ends with the crimp beads and terminators of your choice.
