It was recommended by my child’s doctor that he have one children’s multi vitamin every day. The doctor recommended the Flintstones brand multi vitamin or the Equate brand available at Wal-Mart. In his experience, these were the two varieties that were most popular among his patients. Falling to the gimmick of advertising, we immediately ran out and purchased the largest container of Flintstones Multi Vitamins that was available. My son loved taking the vitamins. He even began to learned some of his colors from his daily vitamin regimen.
Soon, the cost of the vitamins came to our attention when we noticed the equate Multi Vitamin brand available from Wal-Mart. This Equate brand was sitting on the shelf next to the Flintstones brand. In fact, right on the bottle of Equate Multi Vitamins, it reads “compare to Flintstones”. Looking at the cost of the products, the Equate brand clearly won my vote. We were able to get several more vitamins for a terrific price.
Now, to compare the quality of the product. Comparing the label information between Equate Multi Vitamins and Flintstones Multi Vitamins, they were comparable. It seems children will be getting a perfect amount of essential vitamins and minerals from both brands.
Flintstones Multi Vitamins have appealing shapes that my children love. Familiar characters from the popular Flintstones cartoon greet my kids every morning.
The Equate Multi Vitamins also have great shapes. The vitamins come in fun zoo animal varieties. Lions, monkeys, and elephants line up every day to join the circus around your house. Yellow, red, orange, and purple are the brilliant colors to capture your child’s interest.
The biggest and most important question about the Flintstones Multi Vitamins versus the Equate Multi Vitamins is in regards to the taste. Do they both taste great? Is the flavor of each product child friendly? It was obvious that the tastes were different from the beginning for the Equate brand vitamins when compared to the Flintstones brand vitamins. There was a difference between the chewable.
I have four children. My daughters are eight years old. My sons are seven and four years of age. Each child tried the vitamins. My extremely picky ladies determined that both the Equate vitamins and the Flintstones brand of multi vitamins were not flavored to their liking. The twins agreed that both multi vitamins were not suitable for ingestion.

My youngest son was more tolerant. Four months passed before he gave up on the Equate brand vitamins. He began asking for the vitamins with the people and the dinosaur. He finally began to attempt to hide the Equate Multi Vitamins.
It is in my opinion that the Equate brand vitamins are equally as nourishing, but not as flavorful as the Flintstones Multi Vitamins. Your family may save some money by purchasing the Equate Multi Vitamins, but the money will be wasted if your youngster refuses to eat the chewable vitamins. Give one bottle of the Wal-Mart Equate Multi Vitamins a try and see what your children think. More than likely, your child will request the Flintstones vitamins by the end of the bottle.
Equate Chewable Multi Vitamins will not provide your child the important vitamins and minerals they require if you cannot manage to get them down. The Flintstones are worth every penny to provide the nourishment they need at a reasonable price that makes the vitamins easy for your wallet and easy for your child to add to the daily routine.
