Festivals in Arkansas offer the place for a family friendly outing, fun for kids and adults. Festival and fairs are social event that offer a wealth of entertainment, food music and fun. Two of the festivals in Arkansas have been named the Top 100 Events in America by the American Bus Association (ABA); the Magnolia Blossom Festival in spring and the Ozark Folk Festival in autumn. Here is a listing of just a few of the many festivals in Arkansas.

21st Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival & World’s Championship Steak Cook-off May 15-16

The 21st Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival features a sidewalk art show and the World’s Championship Steak Cook Off. There as several new events planned this year. Activities at the magnolia Blossom Festival include the Sidewalk Art Show, Blossom Festival Parade, Pageant, Canine Fun Show, 5K Race, Antique Car Show, Bike Show and more.

Crawdad Days Harrison May 15-16

The Crawdad Days Festival is family friendly event that includes activities like a 5K race, crafts, vintage cars and eating. The star attraction of the festival is Crawfish.

Riverfest Arts & Music Festival Little Rock May 22 – 24

Headlines at Riverfest include Willie Nelson, 3 Doors Down, heart, Jason Aldean Little River Band, Gavin Rossdale, hinder, Flyleaf, Buddy Guy and Trout Fishing in America.

Eureka Springs Blues Festival May 28 – 31

Eureka Springs hosts four days of the blues at the end of May.

Frisco Fest Rogers August 22-23

The Frisco Festival features music, ballet, puppet shows, magic and traditional festival competitions.

The Arkansas State Fair is a Mecca for agriculture, livestock, exhibits and creative arts. The state fair is family friendly fun with full days of lively entertainment. Little Rock.

62nd Annual Original Ozark Folk Festival November 5-7

The Ozark Mountains American Folk Festival honors the culture, music and crafts of the Ozark Mountains and the people who live there. The Ozark Folk Center State park is unique in that is America’s only facility that works to preserve the heritage of the Ozarks.

Mountain music is toe tapping fun. Visitors may be able to get tips on how to play the autoharp or dulcimer. Demonstrators will demonstrate the old arts, such as blacksmithing and pottery making.

The Ozark Folk Center has a diverse organic herb garden. During cooler parts of the year the center is a holds herb growing classes. Learn about herbs used for cooking and herbs used for medicinal purposes.

Make it a Handmade Christmas November 13-15

Learn how to make beautiful handmade gifts with this instruction on old fashioned crafts. Instruction will be available in arts such s blacksmithing and basket making.
