Family Fun at Crealy Adventure Park in Exeter, UK

Indoor Playground, Theme Park Rides

If you’re seeking a day of family fun, Crealy Adventure Park in Exeter, Devon holds everything you and your children could possibly want! With both indoor and outdoor attractions, thrilling rides and friendly animals, you won’t be short of things to do. Crealy is open all year round, and although some attractions are closed for the winter, there is plenty to keep your little ones entertained.

Indoor attractions

If the weather isn’t too great on the day of your visit, you don’t need to worry. You can stay warm and dry by having some fun inside. The Adventure Zone indoor playground is a place for your children to climb and explore, and if you get jealous of all the fun they are having, adults are allowed to play in there too! This is an unusual feature at a family attraction, as most often, adventure playgrounds only allow children inside. For the more daring children, Jungle Heights will test their nerves and stamina, giving them the chance to wriggle through tunnels and walk across a high rope bridge. For the more quiet kids, there is a lovely animal barn where you can meet and greet chicks, rabbits and even chipmunks. Indoor pony rides are also available at an additional cost of £3/$4.60 per child.

Outdoor attractions

Crealy is always best on a sunny day, so you get the chance to experience the excellent outdoor attractions they have to offer. Amongst the available options are Water Wars, a place where you can fling water balloons at targets, a driving school where your children can hop into a car or motorbike and ride around (though there is a small additional fee), and a the Buzzard drop slide. There are many other attractions available, including some huge theme park rides, and some will cost a little extra cash, but nothing is ever more than £5/$8.

Facilities at Crealy

Because Crealy is such a huge and popular place, they have made every effort to keep the entire family in mind with their range of facilities. There are several food, drink and ice cream kiosks situated around the park, including a coffee shop and a family bar. If you so wish, you can even enjoy a barbecue by the Dragonfly Lake! There are many well cleaned toilets around too, plus baby changing facilities, and a baby food warming service. There are only a few small areas of Crealy which are difficult to access in a wheelchair. Overall, the park is arranged so that everyone can enjoy it!

For an excellent day of exciting attractions you probably won’t find anywhere else, Crealy is perfect. Their price of admission system is a little unusual, and is based on height rather than age! However tall you are, the cheapest way to get tickets is to buy them online. They cost £8.50/$13.20 per person via the internet, compared to £9.95/$15.50 per person if you buy them on site. The website holds the full details. It might sound like a lot of money, but there is so much to do inside, you won’t regret it!
